Analysis Of Diagnostic Recognition Of Logopenic Aphasia By SPECT And Simple Language Ability Assessment Scale

Object : To study the sensitivity of simple language ability assessment scale and SPECT cerebral blood flow perfusion imaging in the early diagnosis and recognition of Logopenic aphasia.Mothod:Four patients,aged 50 ~ 70 years,diagnosed as Logopenic aphasia in the Department of Neurology,the first affiliated Hospital of China Medical University,were selected.all the subjects in the study group needed CT/MR and other auxiliary examinations.Under the guidance of neurologists,the MMSE,simple language ability Assessment scale was completed,with an interval of at least 5 minutes between each scale.The results of CT/MR were compared with those of SPECT,and the sensitivity of CT/MR and SPECT in the diagnosis and recognition of Logopenic aphasia was analyzed.Then the test results of MMSE language subitems were compared with those of the simple language ability Assessment scale,and the advantages and disadvantages of the two scales in the diagnosis and recognition of Logopenic aphasia were evaluated.Results : By comparing and analyzing the different imaging results of the same subjects,the CT/MRI of the four subjects showed only atrophy in hippocampus,parietal lobe and so on.SPECT could reflect the decrease of blood perfusion in left frontal lobe,left temporal lobe and parietal lobe angular gyrus,left thalamus and so on.By comparing the results of MMSE with the results of simple language ability Assessment scale,MMSE showed that the four subjects had defects in reading,writing,retelling and listening instructions.The simple language ability Assessment scale reflects the damage of word retrieval in sentence repetition and naming,but there is no obvious abnormality in single word understanding,sentence understanding,language fluency,sports language and grammar.Conlusion: In the early diagnosis of Logopenic aphasia,the abnormal cerebral blood flow(CBF)shown by SPECT was more sensitive than the anatomic structure abnormality shown by CT/MR,and the simple language ability assessment scale was more complete than MMSE in reflecting the language disorder of the patients.The spontaneous language,motor language,grammatical disorder,single word understanding and other aspects of the test are added,and in other aspects of the language,such as the word meaning understanding test,we can start from all angles of the word,and more comprehensively test whether the patient's understanding of the word is complete.Therefore,the simple language ability assessment scale has more advantages than MMSE in the diagnosis and recognition of Logopenic aphasia.
