Background: Currently,the treatment of recurrent secretory otitis media is varied,tympanic cavity injection is one kind of clinical treatments,the choice of injectable drugs is also varied.In recent years,the study of intratympnic injection of budesonide combined with ambroxol hydrochloride is growing.This article through to collect information about the clinical study for a meta-analysis.Objective:To evaluate the effect of intratympnic injection of budesonide combined with ambroxol hydrochloride for otitis media with effusion in adults.Methods: The related literatures were collected by searching PubMed,Embase,OVID,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang databases until December 2015,Randomized controlled trails(RCTs)included in research were assessed with rigorous standard for a meta-analysis.Results: The four studies into a meta-analysis randomized controlled trial of 338 ears,171 ears of observation group and control group in 167 ears,meta analysis showed the intratympnic injection of budesonide combined with ambroxol hydrochloride in the treatment of otitis media with effusion was more effective than the dexamethasone group[OR=4.28,95% CI(2.19,8.39),P<0.0001].Conclusion:Intratympnic injection of budesonide combined with ambroxol hydrochloride is an effective treatment for otitis media with effusion patients.However,considering the rare relative studies,we still awaits more multi-center studies to support this kind of treatment. |
