ObjectivesTo compare the homocysteine level and target organ damage with Primary Aldosteronism(PA)and Essential Hypertension(EH).Methods366 patients diagnosed as primary aldosteronism were included in xxx hospital from 2014.1 to 2016.6 in this study.During the same period, clinical characteristics, homocysteine level and organ damage were compared with those of 366 patients randomly matched for age and gender.Glomerular filtration rate was assessed by EPI-CKD formula and left ventricular mass index was assessed by Deiereux emendation foumula.Results1.BMI?FBG?TG?TC?LDL?Scr and UA were significantly lower in PA patients than EH patients;on the other side,SBP and DBP level were significantly higher in PA patient.2.The level of Hcy was significantly lower in PA patients than in PH patients and was only predicted by Scr level.3.Univariate analysis showed that BMI?FBG?LDL?TC?TG?Scr?UA?PAC?SBP?DBP?HCY were associated with PA,however multivariate analysis showed that only PAC and UA were associated with PA.4.The eGFR and LVMI were observed higher in PA group than in EH group.Multiple regression analysis showed a correlation between eGFR and the level of Hcy? TC and UA;a correlation between LVMI and SBP,Scr in PA patients.Conclusion1.The level of Hcy was lower in patients with PA compared with values in patients with EH and was predicted by Scr level.2.In Chinese population, dyslipidemia and UA level in PA patients were lighter, but target organ damages were heavier.3.Hcy,TC and UA were the risk factors for eGFR,while SBP and Scr were the risk factors for LVMI.
