ObjectiveTo clarify the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with pricking sifeng acupoint therapy on cough variant asthma with "type of both wind phlegm heat and indigestion";to understand the impact of pricking sifeng acupoint to auxiliary treat cough variant asthma(type of both wind phlegm heat and indigestion)on the cough recurrence rate and the digestive tract symptoms improvement rate.MethodsThis subject is a clinical study;a randomized controlled study was conducted to collect 66 children with the acute phase of cough variant asthma(type of both wind phlegm heat and indigestion)who were diagnosed in the pediatric outpatient department of Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to August 2018.The age ranged from 1 to 14 years old and were randomly divided into two groups,33 in each group. The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with pricking sifeng acupoint, and the control group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine. The course of treatment was 2 weeks. The changes of cough symptom scores and TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were observed after 2 weeks of treatment. The cough recurrence and the symptoms of digestive tract(reduced food intake, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, prolonged interval between bowel movements, etc.)were observed 3 months after the end of treatment.record relevant data.Data compilation and statistical processing were performed to compare the efficacy of the two treatments in relieving cough symptoms during the acute phase and the effects on long-term recurrence. Finally draw conclusions.Results1.A total of 66 cases were included in the trial, and 62 cases were completed in the clinical trial.Among them,3 cases were observed in the observation group and 1 case in the control group, and the drop-off rate was 6.06%.There were no statistical differences in the general conditions(age, gender, duration of disease, cough symptom scores,TCM syndrome scores, etc.)between the two groups.2.After 2 weeks of treatment, both treatment methods can reduce the score of cough symptoms and TCM syndrome scores. The effective rate of cough symptoms in the observation group was 86.67%,and the effective rate of cough symptom in the control group was 71.86%.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate of TCM syndrome scores in the observation group was 83.33%,and that in the control group was 68.75%.The effective rate of the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.3 months after the end of treatment,The recurrence rate of cough was 43.33% in the observation group and 68.75% in the control group. The recurrence rate was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were significant differences between the two groups in the scores of digestive tract symptoms(reduced food intake, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, prolonged interval between bowel movements,etc.)(P<0.05).4.After the clinical observation,no adverse reactions were observed in the treatment of pricking sifeng acupoint.Conclusions1.Chinese medicine combined with pricking sifeng acupoint therapy is better than traditional Chinese medicine in improving cough symptom scores and TCM syndrome scores. It can be considered that the effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with pricking sifeng acupoint is better than that of simple Chinese medicine group. The curative effect of pricking sifeng acupoint to auxiliary treat cough variant asthma(type of both wind phlegm heat and indigestion)is positive.2.In terms of long-term efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine combined with pricking sifeng acupoint therapy is superior to traditional Chinese medicine therapy in reducing the recurrence rate of cough in children and reducing the symptoms of digestive tract(reduced food intake, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, prolonged interval between bowel movements,etc.).The auxiliary treatment of pricking sifeng acupoint to cough variant asthma(type of both wind phlegm heat and indigestion)can reduce the recurrence rate of cough and improve the patients' gastrointestinal symptoms.3.It is effective, safe and clinical value for the treatment of pricking sifeng acupoint to cough variant asthma(type of both wind phlegm heat and indigestion).
