Objective: To study the clinical study of the incidence rate of fracture of vertebral body after percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)with wearing brace and no brace, and to provide a new guiding ideology for preventing vertebral fracture after operation in clinical. Methods: Retrospective analysis was periodic follow-up of after PKP surgery outpatients admitted to Xi ' an Red Cross hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 and met the exclusion criteria.According to the outpatient follow-up,the patients were divided into three groups, includede without wearing brace group, wearing hard brace group and wearing soft brace group. In each group,100 patients were randomly selected by computer as the subjects of this study. The difference of age, sex, body mass index, bone density, preoperative dysfunction index(ODI)and preoperative pain Visual Analogue Score(VAS)in three groups of patients was not statistically significant and comparable by statistical calculation. All three groups of patients follow the prescribed strict norms of drug treatment and bed braking. The incidence of vertebral refracture in three groups of patients was recorded, and ODI,VAS and JOA scores were used to evaluate the effect of wearing brace on postoperative fracture. Results: all patients in the three groups were followed up from 8 months to 24 months(mean 22.4 months). The scores of VAS and ODI,JOA were significantly improved in the wearing brace than those in the group of no bracing, and there has significant statistically between wearing brace and no bracing(P < 0 05).The incidence of vertebral re-fracture in the wearing brace group was lower than that in the without wearing brace group, and there was a statistical difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).For the patients wearing soft brace, the VAS score of 3 months after operation was better than that of the hard brace group, but there was no a statistical difference between the two groups(P > 0 05).The incidence of vertebral re-fracture in soft support group was lower than that in hard brace group, there was no a statistical difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).The JOA score in soft brace group was significantly higher than that in hard brace group, and there was statisticaldifference between the two groups(P < 0 05).During the last follow-up,it was found that the VAS score and the incidence of re-fracture of ODI,vertebral body in the soft brace group were better than those in the hard brace group, but there was no significant difference in the results between the two groups(P > 0.05).The improvement of JOA score in the soft brace group was better than that in the hard brace group, and there was a statistical difference between the soft group and hard brace group(P < 0 05).Conclusion: although PKP is an effective treatment for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF),its long-term complications can not be ignored. For PKP post-operation should be strict, standardized wear support. This can not only avoid some related complications as soon as possible, but also significantly reduce the risk of vertebral re-fracture.This not only improves the patient's quality of life, but also lightens the burden of the family and society.
