Objective: The expression and its clinical significance was analyzed of Neil-like type 2(NELL2)and ?-interferon(IFN-?)in cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)of patients with partial central nervous system infection. Methods: The CSF specimens was collected of patients who underwent lumbar puncture for suspected central nervous system infection in the Department of Neurology,Department of Infectious Diseases,Third Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from November 2017 to January 2019.The clinical data of patients and CSF specimens were collected. Finally, according to the diagnostic criteria, the patients were divided into the central nervous system infection group(26 cases)and the non-central nervous system infection group(18 cases in the control group). The central nervous system infection group included 11 cases of tuberculous meningitis(TBM)and 15 cases of viral encephalitis(VE).The levels of NELL2 and IFN-? in CSF of each group were detected by Western blot and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).At the same time, the changes of the above indicators after anti-tuberculosis treatment were compared in 4 patients with TBM who were followed up for clinical diagnosis. Finally, statistical analysis was performed. Finally, the CSF results were statistically analyzed using SPSS 18.0 software. Results: 1.The level of NELL2 in CSF was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The level of IFN-? in CSF was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).2.The level of NELL2 in CSF showed an increasing trend and the level of IFN-? showed a downward trend after anti-tuberculosis treatment in TBM group. Conclusion: IFN-? and NELL2 in CSF respectively showed different degrees of elevation and decline in cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)of patients with central nervous system infection. They can be observed in the early stage of anti-tuberculosis treatment and may become one of the indicators for TBM treatment and prognosis.and they were observed to recover in the early stage of anti-tuberculosis treatment..
