Objective: To analyze the clinical pathological characteristics and prognostic factors of primary gastric lymphoma. Methods: The clinical data of 53 patients with primary gastric lymphoma was retrospectively analyzed from 1998 to 2011 in the First Hospital of China Medical University.SPSS 12.0 software was used for data processing.Using Kaplan Meier analysis?Log-rank test and Cox regression model for survival analysis. Results: There were 34 males and 19 females, their age were 21 to 78 years, average age was 54 years, and median of age was 58 years. The focal areas included Hodgkin's lymphoma 4 cases,MALT lymphoma 34 cases,DCBCL lymphoma 12 cases,Lymphoid plasma cell lymphoma 3 cases. In 53 cases, the most common histological type was MALT lymphoma(64.2%),most patients show Ann Arbor stages IE(41.5%)and IIE(31.7%).In 53 patients with complete follow-up data, survival rates of 1,3,5 years were 81.1%,47.2%,32.1% respectively. The median overall survival time was 35.0months.In univariate survival analysis,gender(P=0.021),age(0.028),tumor size(P=0.004)tumor resection(P=0.000),organ invasion(P=0.000),histological types(P=0.006),Ann Arbor stages(P=0.029)were obviously correlated with the prognosis. As to tumor resection(OR: 3.611),histological types(OR: 1.729),Ann Arbor stage(OR:1.509)was independent prognostic factors in multivariable analysis. Moreover, the prognosis of MALT lymphoma was concerned with gender(P=0.028),tumor resection(P=0.000),organ invasion(P=0.000),Ann Arbor stage(P=0.003).For DCBCL lymphoma patients, gastric chronic diseases were correlated with the prognosis(P=0.003).Conclusion: Tumor resection, histological type and Ann Arbor stage are independent prognostic factors. The prognosis of MALT lymphoma was concerned with gender, tumor resection, organ invasion,Ann Arbor stage. For DCBCL lymphoma patients, gastric chronic diseases were correlated with the prognosis.
