Abstract Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics,diagnosis,treatment and prognostic of primary gastric malignant lymphoma.Methods:The clinical data of 24 patients with PGL treated in First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from March 2000 to July 2004 were analyzed retrospectively.Results:The main clinical manifestation were epigastric pain,gastrointestinal bleeding,poor appetite,emaciation. Endoscopically,ulceration,diffused infiltration, nodular and mass were seen in 70.83%, 20.83%,4.17% and 4.17% of the cases,respectively,and the lesions were located mainly in the antrum and body of stomach.stomach.All patients underwent surgical treatment,19 cases were subtotal gastrectomy(B-I/B-II),5 cases were total gastrectomy.All cases were diagnosed as non-Hodgkin lymphoma pathologically,of them 11 were B lymphocyte,3 were T lymphocyte,l was BT lymphocyte,9 were non classification.â… E stage 9 cases (37.5%),â…¡E stage 7 cases (29.2%),â…¢E stage 6 cases (25.0%),â…£E stage 2 cases (8.3%).The prognosis was correlated with histological type and clinical staging(P<0.05).13 cases survival were more than 5 years in obtained follow-up.Conclusions:Attention clinical manifestations and endoscopic features, multiple and deep biopsy should be used to improve the endoscopic diagnosis rate.The therapeutic regimen should chooseindividual therapy in accordance with histological type,clinical staging,whether there exists complications and H pylori infection.
