Objective:To compare and analyze the effect of low position forceps with and withou t perineal lateral resection on maternal and neonatal outcomes. Methods:Using retrospective analysis,in January 2010 to December 2018,the first hos pital of China medical university obstetric by forceps midwifery of 138 cases of mater nal and newborn related clinical data, according to whether the lateral segmentation fo r episiotomy group 78 cases,58 cases and not side cut group collection maternal lengt h of time of the first and second stages of labor, the bleeding, urinary retention, degree of perineal laceration, birth weight, height, head circumference, chest circumference, blood sugar of birth, neonatal umbilical artery blood gas(pH value,BE),Apgar score of 1 minutes and 5 minutes, and whether to neonatal intensive care unit(NICU),etc,to analyze and compare the outcomes of the two groups.Results:1.There was no significant difference in the length of the first and second labor stages between the perineal lateral incision group and the non-lateral incision group in the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage and postpartum urinary retention(p>0.05).Among the nonlateral incision group,7.69%(6/78)had grade II perineal lace ration, and the rest were grade I or below laceration, the difference was statistically si gnificant(p<0.05).2.There were no statistically significant differences in neonatal bo dy weight, height, head circumference, chest circumference, neonatal umbilical artery blood gas(pH),neonatal blood glucose, neonatal Apgar score(5 min)and whether the neonates were transferred to NICU between the two groups(p>0.05).Apgar score(1min)and umbilical arterial blood gas(BE)of newborns in the perineal resection grou p and the unresection group showed statistically significant difference(p<0.05).Conclusion:There was no significant difference in the incidence of severe perineal la ceration between the uncut group and the uncut group during the delivery assisted by forceps. The grade II laceration was higher in the uncut group than in the uncut group. There was no significant difference in neonatal outcome between the two groups.
