PurposeBy juxtaposing TCM syndrome scores,exophthalmia and quality of life scores for patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy after acupuncture(ophthalmic acupuncture combined with body acupuncture)and Chinese medicine treatment to observe the randomized group of 64 patients of moderate to severe inactive Graves ophthalmopathy with liver depression transforming into fire syndrome.The clinical efficacy of both body acupuncture and ophthalmic acupuncture treatment for moderate to severe inactive Graves ophthalmopathy with liver stagnation syndrome was observed and validated.MethodFrom December 2017 to October 2018,64 patients from Acupuncture and Moxib ustion,Endocrinology,Ophthalmology,with Graves Ophthalmopathy in moderate and severe stages of liver depression transforming into fire syndrome were selected according to the research criteria,and were divided into acupuncture group and traditional Chinese medicine group according to the random method.Each group had 32 cases.The acupuncture group took both body acupuncture and ophthalmic acupuncture treatment.Ophthalmic acupuncture took liver area,body acupuncture took Jingming,Qiuhou,Fengch,Zhongzhu,Guangming,Xingjian,Zusanli,two day one time,a total of 12 weeks.The Chinese medicine group was given the daily oral Chinese medicine Danzhixiaoyao pill for 12 weeks of continuous treatment,6gone time,twice a day,after breakfast and dinner.Before and after the treatment,the patients were recorded with traditional Chinese medicine score,protrusion degree,and GO-QOL score for efficacy observation.All data are statistically processed and analyzed using SPSS20.0 software.Result1.TCM syndrome score score: In the group comparison,the symptom scores and total scores of the acupuncture group and the Chinese medicine group decreased after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The total score of TCM syndromes in the acupuncture group was significantly lower than that in the Chinese medicine group,and it was significantly better than the Chinese medicine group in improving eyelid retraction or/and edema and eyeball protrusion.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of other TCM syndromes(P>0.05).the total effective rate of acupuncture group(83.33%)and There was no significant difference in the total effective rate(80%)between the Chinese medicine groups(P>0.05).2.Clinical eyeball protrusion efficacy: intra-group comparison,the degree of exophthalmos in the acupuncture group and the Chinese medicine group before and after treatment decreased,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the comparison between groups,the total effective rate of acupuncture group(68.33%)and There was no significant difference in the total effective rate(65%)of the Chinese medicine groups(P>0.05).3.GO-QOL scores were significantly lower after treatment than before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in visual function scores between the two groups(P<0.05).The scores of the acupuncture group were significantly higher than those of the Chinese medicine group,but the difference of social psychology scores was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Clinical efficacy: There was no significant difference in the total effective rate(83.33%)between the acupuncture group and the total effective rate(80%)in the Chinese medicine group(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The combination of ophthalmic acupuncture combined with body acupuncture and oral Chinese medicine Danxiaoyao Pill has good clinical effect on the moderate and severe inactive Graves ophthalmopathy of liver stagnation and fire syndrome.2.Ophthalmic acupuncture combined with body acupuncture for the treatment of liver depression transforming into fire syndrome type of moderate to severe inactive Graves ophthalmopathy is equivalent to Chinese medicine therapy,but the former has advantages in improving eyelid retraction or / and edema,eyeball protrusion,considering with ophthalmic acupuncture,body acupuncture Near treatment and overall organ dysfunction regulation.3.Acupuncture(ophthalmic acupuncture combined with body acupuncture)for the treatment ofliver depression transforming into firesyndrome type of moderate to severe inactive Graves ophthalmopathy is more advantageous than oral Danzhixiaoyao Pill in improving the GO-QOL visual function score,but in the psychosocial score The improvement in both aspects is comparable.
