Objective: To investigate the level and related factors of mother's care needs in NICU;According to the mother's care related needs,to protocol the mother-centred program of“Family-Integrated Care”,for exploring the effect of this model on relieving mothers' negative emotions,and improving the ability of mothers to take care of baby with NICU.Methods: There were two parts for this study.First,the investigative;Second,the intervention study.(1)The investigative study:A total of 450 mothers from the NICU in a level 3 hospital in Guizhou province were investigated with general information questionnaire and Chinese version of NICU-FNI from August 2017 to December 2017.(2)The intervention study: A total of 70 mothers from the NICU in a level 3 hospital in Gui Zhou city were recruited,there were 35 cases in the experimental group or control group,fom January 2018 to December 2018.Using the HADS,the EPDS to evaluate the effect of this model on improving mothers' anxiety,depression;the effect of the pattern on the baby's care ability was evaluated by the RHDS,and the effect of the model on the satisfaction was evaluated by the satisfaction questionnaire.The t test,rank sum test were used to analyze the experimental data.Results:(1)The investigative study: In the study,450 questionnaires were distributed,in which 443 effective questionnaires were collected,with recovery rate of 98.44%.The mean score of mother's needs was(108.20±11.89).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that fertilization way,birth weight,age of admission,diagnosis,the severity of disease of children,length of stay and whether with regular informed of condition were main related factors of the mother's needs(P < 0.05).The 10 most pressing needs of mothers include assurance,information,closeness and support.(2)The intervention study: Before intervention,there was no significant difference in HADS,EPDS score between two groups(P>0.05).After intervention,the HADS,EPDS scores of mothers in the two groups were significantly different(P < 0.05),and the scores of RHDS,satisfaction survey in the two groups were significantly different(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The investigative study: The mother's needs are generally at a moderate level.Mother's needs are related to the specific needs changed depending on the fertilization way,birth weight,age of admission,the diagnosis,the severity of disease of children,length of stay and whether with regular informed of condition.So,targeted care services should be provided in accordance with the needs of mothers.(2)The intervention study: the mother-centred program of “Family-Integrated Care” has achieved good results.First,It can improved the mother's negative emotions;Second,mother's ability to care their children and their satisfaction with the department have been improved.And it provides a reference basis for the long-term development and promotion of this model in the application of NICU.
