Study On The Life Experience Of "Migratory Birds" Elderly With Chronic Diseases In Hainan

?Objective?This study is to explore the life experience of " migratory birds" elder population with chronic diseases in Hainan from the perspective of sociology,deepen the medical staff`s understanding of this life experience and to provide reference and basis for improving their quality of life and constructing a " migratory birds" elderly service model in Hainan.?Method?This study is carried out by using the method of phenomenology in qualitative research.The research object was selected by "comprehensive sampling" method that combines convenience way,snowball style and objective combination way.It interview 18 "migratory birds" old people with chronic disease from October 2017 to January 2018 in Hainan province by semi-structured method to understand their life experience in Hainan province.Claizzi's phenomenological 7-step data analysis method was used to analyze and sort out the data and abstract the theme.?Result?Based on the analysis of the data,the life experiences of "migratory birds" elderpopulation with chronic diseases can be summarized into four themes.Physical adaptation: improving the original symptoms,adding new discomfort symptoms,and self adjustment after weighing the pros and cons.Psychological adaptation: enjoyment and relaxation,longing for family companionship,suffering and helplessness in medical treatment,and self adaptation after peak-valley effect.Social adaptation:maintaining contact with the people from original place of residence,rebuilding the interpersonal relationship at a place outside the original place of residence,having social disruption,and realizing self value at a place outside the original place of residence.Cultural adaptation: following the customs of the original place of residence,trying to exchange cultures in different places,creating cultural conflicts,and realizing cultural integration.?Conclusion?Under the background of aging and multi-structure long-distance pension in our country,research on the elderly with chronic diseases " migratory birds".This study used phenomenological research methods to summarize the characteristic information from the original data,then extracted four themes about the long-distance pension life experience of the " migratory birds" elderly with chronic diseases in Hainan: physical adaptation,psychological adaptation,social adaptation and cultural adaptation.The four aspects influence and coordinate with each other,and finally make the elderly with " migratory birds" reach to a state of self-adjustment in the process of long-distance pension in seasonal areas.
