Tinospora sinensis belongs to the genus Tinospora of the family Menispermaceae,and is mainly distributed in Tibet,Guangdong,Guangxi and Yunnan province.It has been used as a traditional Zang medicine to treat numerous diseases caused by“long”,“chiba”and“peigen”.By means of many different chromatographic methods,twenty-two compounds were isolated from the 70%ethanol extract.By physico-chemical data and spectral methods,22 of them were identified.Including two aryl tetrahydronaphthalene?1-2?,two dibenzylbutane lignans?3-4?,two tetrahydrofuran lignans?5-6?,five bisepoxy lignans?7-11?,two dihydrobenzofuran neolignans?12-13?,two 8-O-4?neolignans?14-15?,one7,9?-dinorlignan?16?and six clerodane diterpenoid glucosides?17-22?.Compounds 3,6,16,19,22 are new compounds.Compounds 12,45,910,1215 were isolated from this plant for the first time.Hypericum erectum belongs to the genus Hypericum of the family Guttiferae,and is widely distributed in China.It has been used as a traditional folk medicine in China to treat rheumatism.In our research,nineteen compounds were isolated from the chloroform extract.By physico-chemical data and spectral methods,19 of them were identified as two aliphatics?23,41?,one?-pyranone?24?,one flavonoid?25?,eight xanthones?26-33?,one phenolic acid?34?,three phloroglucinols?35-37?,two furanones?38-39?,one sesquiterpene?40?.Compounds 23,24,25 are new compounds.Compounds 26-31,33-41 were isolated from this plant for the first time.Compounds 1-15,17-20,23,25,27-28,30-31,34-37,41 were assessed in terms of their cytotoxic effects against three human tumor cell lines?HepG2,T98G and MCF-7?.The results showed that none of these compounds had anti-tumor activity.In order to evaluate and screen the anti-inflammatory activities of 30compounds?1-15,17-20,23,25,27-28,30-31,34-37,41?,the cytotoxicity was determined by CCK-8 method.RAW264.7 cells induced by LPS was used as inflammatory model.The production of NO in culture supernatant were measured by Griess method.The results showed that compounds 13,25,27,28 at 20?M,the inhibition rate of NO production was over than 50%,with IC500 values as 17.43?M,12.90?M,16.24?M,9.86?M respectively.
