Construction Of Core Competence Evaluation Index System For Rehabilitation Nurse Specialists

ObjectiveTo develop a set of scientific,systematic and comprehensive core competence evaluation index system for rehabilitation nurse specialists in line with the conditions of our country,in order to provide a reference for the training,qualification certification and ability evaluation of rehabilitation nurse specialists.Meantime,it points out the direction for the research of rehabilitation nursing continuing education and provides the reference standard for the examination of education effect,so as to promote the development of rehabilitation nursing.MethodsThrough literature review,theoretical analysis(core competence theory,role theory and systematic holistic care theory)and experts' meeting,the preliminary draft of the evaluation index system of core competence for rehabilitation nurse specialists was formed in this study.Then,25 experts in the field of rehabilitation from Shandong,Sichuan,Jilin,Shanxi,Shanghai,and so on were asked to put forward to suggestions on the revision of the index and assign the importance through three-round experts' consultations using the Delphi method.To analyse experts' enthusiasm,authority and coordination by calculating the positive coefficients,authority coefficients,coefficients of variation and coordination coefficients of experts.The weights of indicators were determined,and consistency ratio was calculated through the combination of Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process(AHP).Basis on the constructed core competence evaluation index system,a questionnaire on the core competence of rehabilitation nurse specialists was compiled,and 260 rehabilitation nurse specialists who participated in rehabilitation nurse specialists training and obtained certificates were surveyed to verify reliability and validity of the index from July to September 2018.Results1.The final core competence evaluation index system for rehabilitation nurse specialists includes 8 first-level indexes,21 second-level indexes and 66 third-level indexes.The first-level indexes include: the ability of professional rehabilitation nursing,the ability of educational guidance,the ability of communication and cooperation,the ability of critical thinking,the ability of professional development,professional quality,the ability of support and supervision,and the ability of rehabilitation nursing management.2.There were 23 experts who participated in three-round experts' consultation.The positive coefficients of experts were 92%?100% and 100% respectively.The authority coefficient of 23 experts was 0.881.The coordination coefficients primary,secondary and third indicators in the third round were 0.456,0.336 and 0.246,respectively with statistical significance(P<0.001).3.The weights of the first-level indexes were the ability of professional rehabilitation nursing(0.244),the ability of educational guidance(0.195),the ability of communication and cooperation(0.164),the ability of critical thinking(0.130),the ability of professional development(0.109),professional quality(0.087),the ability of support and supervision(0.046),and the ability of nursing management(0.025)respectively.All consistency ratio(CR)were less than 0.1,which indicated the setting of indexes weights was reasonable.4.The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the whole index system was 0.966.The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the first-level index was between 0.805 and 0.948,and the Cronbach's ? coefficient of the second-level index was between 0.714 and 0.983.The I-CVI of each item of the scale was between 0.875 and 1.000 and S-CVI/UA was 0.899,S-CVI/Ave was 0.987.The correlation analysis showed that the correlation coefficient between the firstlevel index and the whole index system was between 0.573 and 0.893,which was higher than that between the first-level index(P<0.01 for all).ConclusionA set of scientific,systematic and comprehensive core competence evaluation index system for rehabilitation nurse specialists had been constructed through literature review,theoretical analysis(core competence theory,role theory and systematic holistic care theory),experts' meeting and three-round experts' consultations,including 8 first-level indexes,21 second-level indexes and 66 third-level indexes.The weights were determined by Delphi method combined with analytic hierarchy process.The enthusiasm,authority and coordination of experts were good,the opinions of experts were highly consistent,and the weights setting was reasonable,which indicated that the results were scientific and reliable.Meantime,the reliability and validity of the index system was good,which further ensured the research results more scientific,reliable and logical.Therefore,the index system can be a reference for the training,qualification certification and ability evaluation of rehabilitation nurse specialists,and promote the development of rehabilitation nursing.
