Objectives Observing the effect of guided imagery training on anxiety, depression and sleep disorders in stroke patients. Methods Total of 100 stroke patients with anxiety, depression and sleep disorders were hospitalized in the Neurology of North China University of Science and Technology Affiliated Hospital from November 2017 to November 2018.The patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received the routine medicine treatment and nursing measures in neurology, while the experimental group received guided imagery training. The guided imagery training is provided to the patient in audio form, the soothing Spring mix Sound of the Waves is used as the background music with the guidance language. It can be heard through auxiliary devices such as mobile phones and computers. The content of the guidance language is translated and adjusted by the technical team and the research team. The guided imagery training CD provided by the American scholar Mopelola Adeolat is recorded and adjusted. It mainly includes the relaxation of muscles and joints, the imagination of the seaside scene, and the imagination of the seaside plant scene,Seabirds fly scene imagination, pain healing imagination and patients own motion picture imagination.During the hospitalization period, the patients were trained once every day at noon and night, each time 20~30 minute,14 times/week for 1 week.Intervention once a night after going home,3~5 times/week for a total of 4 weeks. They were assessed with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale(PSQI),the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)and the Stroke Specific Quality of Life(SS-QOL)before intervention and one week after intervention and five weeks after intervention. The measurement data were expressed as mean±standard(` x±s).The count data was expressed in frequaency. All experimental data were compared by variance test and Repeated ANOVA test before and after intervention.Difference with P<0.05 was deemed as statistically significant. Results 1 Comparison of anxiety and depression between stroke patients in two groups:There was no significant difference in the total score of HADS,anxiety and depression scores between the two groups before intervention(P> 0.05).After one week and five weeks of intervention, the total score of HADS,anxiety and depression scores in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Repeated ANOVA indicated that, among the total score of HADS,anxiety and depression scores, the group effect, time effect and interaction were all statistically significant(P < 0.05).2 Comparison of sleep quality between stroke patients in two groups: There was no significant difference in the total score of PSQI and each dimension before intervention between the two groups(P>0.05).After one week of intervention, the total scores of PSQI and scores of sleep quality, sleep time, sleep efficiency, daytime dysfunction scores were statistically significant(P<0.05).After five weeks of intervention, the total score of PSQI and scores of sleep quality, sleep time, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbance, daytime dysfunction in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Repeated ANOVA indicated that, among the total score of PSQI,the group effect, time effect and interaction were all statistically significant(P<0.05).3 Comparison of quality of life between stroke patients in two groups: There was nosignificant difference in the total score of SS-QOL and each dimension before intervention between the two groups(P>0.05).After one week of intervention, the SS-QOL total score and energy, family role,language,activity,mood,personality,self-care ability, upper limb function,work/labor score of the experimental group were higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After five weeks of intervention, the SS-QOL total score and energy, family role, language, activity, mood, personality, selfcare ability, social role, upper limb function,work/labor score of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Repeated ANOVA indicated that, among the total score of SS-QOL,the group effect, time effect and interaction were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Guided imagery training can reduce the sleep disorder, anxiety and depression, improve the quality of life of stroke patients. It is simple and easy to promote.Figure 5;Table 14;Reference 145...
