Clinical Observation Of Malong Decoction On Chronic Duration Of Asthma And Its Effect On Serum IL-33

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Malong Pingchuan Decoction on chronic persistent bronchial asthma(phlegm turbidity obstructing lung syndrome)and its effect on serum IL-33.Methods : 80 patients with chronic persistent bronchial asthma(phlegm turbidity obstructing lung syndrome)were treated in the outpatient department of respiratory department of the First Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,40 cases in the treatment group and 40 cases in the control group were randomly divided into two groups,the treatment group was treated with Malong Pingchuan Decoction,the control group was given Kechuan’an oral liquid,the course of treatment was 4weeks.The clinical symptoms,signs,lung function(FEV1,FEV1/FVC%,PEF),improvement of ACT score and changes of serum IL-33 were observed before and after treatment,improvement of ACT Test Score and Changes of Serum IL-33.Results:1.Malong Pingchuan Decoction has remarkable curative effect on chronic persistent bronchial asthma(phlegm turbidity obstructing lung syndrome),the total effective rate was 94.87%,the difference was significant(p < 0.05),and there was no adverse reaction.Malong Pingchuan Decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of patients,especially in shortness of breath,limb sleepiness,loose stool,eating less and taking less stupor,which is significantly better than the control group(p < 0.05).2.Malong Pingchuan decoction can significantly improve the level of ACT in patients,and it is better than the control group(P<0.05).3.Pulmonary function in two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),there was no significant difference between groups after treatment(P>0.05).4.Both groups could reduce the level of serum IL-33 before and after treatment(P<0.05),and after treatment,the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Malong Pingchuan decoction is effective in the treatment of chronic duration of bronchial asthma(phlegm-turbid obstruction of lung syndrome).It can effectively improve the patients’ shortness of breath,body sleepiness,loose stool,deficiency of eating symptoms and ACT test scores.2.Malong Pingchuan Decoction can reduce the content of IL-33 in serum of patients with chronic asthma persistence(phlegm turbidity obstructing lung syndrome).
