Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Sun s abdominal acupuncture on postpartum depression.Method:To compare the curative effect of Abdominal Acupuncture with conventional acupuncture on postpartum depression on the basis of basic treatment.Basic therapy refers to supportive psychotherapy.A total of 64 patients who met the inclusion criteria of PPD were divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 32 patients in each group. In the treatment group, the acupoints were selected as Baihui, abdominal area 1(emotional area 1)and abdominal area 8(emotional area 2).In the control group, the acupoints were selected as Baihui,Yintang,Neigu an(bilateral),Taichong(bilateral),Shenmen(bilateral),Danzhong. In the treatment group,The acupuncture points on the abdomen should be punctured at a 15-degree angle to the skin surface to enter the acupoint 1.0 inches, gently twirled without lifting or inserting, and the needles should be kept for 30 minutes. The control group was treated with routine acupuncture, and the needle was kept for 30 minutes too.The two groups were treated once a day for 6 days and 1 day of rest for 28 days. Before and after treatment, the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(EPDS),and the Postpartum Depression Screening Scale(PDSS)were used to analyze the degree of illness and evaluate the curative effect.Results:1.Before treatment, the general data of both group, such as the age of the patient, the gender of the infant, and the mode of delivery, were compared. The difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.2.There was no significant difference in the scores of the HAMD scales between the two groups before treatment(p>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable. After treatment, the HAMD scale scores of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment, and there was a significant difference before and after treatment(p<0.01).There was a significant difference in the HAMD scale between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(p<0.05)3.There was no significant difference in the scores of the two groups before treatment(p>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable. The scores of the EPDS scales of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and there was a significant difference before and after treatment(p<0.01).There was a significant difference in the HAMD scale between the treatment group and the control group(p<0.05)4.The effective rate of the treatment group(93.3%)was better than that of the control group(83.3%),and the difference in total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05)Conclusion:1.In the treatment of postpartum depression, both Sun s abdominal acupuncture and conventional acupuncture therapy can improve the depressive state of PPD patients.2.In the treatment of postpartum depression, the clinical efficacy of Sun s abdominal acupuncture is better than that of conventional acupuncture.
