Clinical Observation Of Sanweiwufa Treatment For Lumbar Disc Hernition With Yang-deficiency Constitution

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Sanwei wufa therapy in the treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation with Yang-deficiency Constitution,so as to provide an objective basis for the clinical application of comprehensive treatment of TCM therapy to treat this disease.Methods: 60 patients were randomly diveded into two groups: a treatment group(Sanwei Wufa)and a control group(acupuncture),with 30 cases in each group.The treatment group was applied to guasha,cupping,acupuncture,moxibustion,and traditional Chinese medicine therapy in turn.In addition,guasha and cupping therapy were used on the waist,through the tendons of Bladder Channel of Foot Taiyang and Kidney Channel of FootShaoyin.Acupuncture points were selected as follows: bilateral Back-shu point(3 pairs of dorsal points corresponding to the lesion segment and its upper and lower segments)as well as Shenshu piont(BL 23),affected Huantiao point(GB 30),Weizhong point(BL 40),Xuanzhong piont(GB 39)and Kunlun point(BL 60).Leave the needle for 30 minutes,added moxibustion therapy to the above-mentioned Back-shu point for 10 minutes,also,patients were suggested to take oral medicine Jitongxiao,8 capsules at a time,and three times a day.The control group received conventional acupuncture only and the acupuncture points were the same as the treatment group.Each group reveived a treatment cycle for 7 days.The curative effect of the two groups of patients and the changes of VAS pain score,JOA low back pain score,and yang deficiency mass conversion score were both observed before and after the treatment,in order to assess the degree of pain,clinical symptoms and signs,as well as the improvement of yang deficiency.Results:1.Compared with the pre-treatment group,the VAS scores of the two groups were significantly lower(P < 0.01).The VAS scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group after treatment(P< 0.01).2.Compared with the pre-treatment group,the JOA scores of the two groups were significantly higher(P < 0.01).The JOA scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group.(P< 0.01).3.Compared with the pre-treatment group,the conversion scores of yang deficiency and mass were decreased,and there was a significant difference(P < 0.01).Compared with the two groups after treatment,the conversion score of yang deficiency in the treatment group was obvious lower,there was a significant difference(P< 0.01).4.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 83.33%,the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).Conclusion:1.Both Sanwei wufa and conventional acupuncture have certain curative effect on the treatment of yang deficiency constitution lumbar disc herniation,while in the short term,the overall treatment effect of Sanwei wufa is more significant.2.Both Sanwei wufa and conventional acupuncture have certain curative effects in the aspects of relieving pain and clinical signs as well as improving patients' quality of life,and yang deficiency constitution,but the effect of Sanwei wufa is more obvious.
