Research On Diarrhea Formula In Treating Diarrhea Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Syndrome Of Liver Depression And Spleen Deficiency

Objective: Assessed the clinical effect of Diarrhea Formula on treating Diarrhea Predom inant Irritable Bowel Syndrome(Liver Depression and Spleen Deficiency)and discussed the applications of Repress Wood to Enrich Earth and Nine Treatments for Diarrhea in Diarrhea Formula.Methods: We selected 70 patients with Diarrhea Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome(Liver Depression and Spleen Deficiency)hospitalized in outpatients section and in-patient department of digestive section in Mianyang Hospital of T.C.M from February to December in 2018.They were randomly divided into experiment group and control group(35 each).Patients in the experiment group were treated with Diarrhea Formula while patients in the control group were treated with smecta powder.After four weeks of treatment,we compared the SDSVD(T.C.M syndrome score),ORR(overall response rate),clinical symptom improvement rate,and adverse effect rate of the two groups.Following up these patients for a month,we compared the recurrence rate of the two groups.The data collected was statistically analyzed via SPSS 22.0.Results:(1)The ORR was 91.43% in the experiment group and 70.59% in the control group.The difference of ORR between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05),showing the clinical effect was better in the experiment group than in the control group.(2)Clinical symptoms were effectively improved in the experiment group;part of main symptoms and minor symptoms were improved in the control group.The difference of clinical symptom improvement rate was statistically significant(p<0.05),showing the effects of relieving abdominal pain and curing diarrhea were better in the experiment group than in the control group.(3)No adverse effect occurred in both groups.(4)Based on a month of follow-up,the recurrence rate was 18.75% in the experiment group and45.83% in the control group.The difference of recurrence rate was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion: With a low recurrence rate and without adverse effect,Diarrhea Formula has an obvious clinical effect on treating Diarrhea Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome(Liver Depression and Spleen Deficiency).The clinical symptom improvement rate was better in the experiment group than in the control group.It is recommended that that the formula should be promoted in clinical treatment to enrich the treatment for Diarrhea Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
