| ObjectiveTo translate the Pulmonary Embolism Quality of Life questionnaire into Chinese, and then evaluate its reliability and validity, thus to assess the qulity of life about PE patients and current status of it.By path analysis,to understand the current situation of the quality of life of patients with pulmonary embolism in China, and to explore the relevant factors affecting the quality of life of patients with pulmonary embolism,so as to provide theoretical basis for future interventional studies.Methods1.Through E-mail contact with author, received the authorization of the scale.According to the Brislin PEmb-Qo L English translation patterns translated into Chinese, have the experience of foreign students of nursing experts and not the specialized is engaged in years of translation to English teacher, debug suitable for China’s national conditions and cultural background, with a number of nursing experts on the revision of the contents of this scale, eventually won the Chinese version of the quality of life scale pulmonary embolism.2.The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the pulmonary embolism quality of life scale were tested. The validity evaluation tools of the scale are exploratory factor analysis and content validity index(CVI).The reliability evaluation tools of this scale are Cronbach’s α coefficient method and retest reliability.3.The self-compiled general information questionnaire,Chinese version of pulmonary embolism quality of life scale, hospital anxiety and depression scale, subjective well-being scale and perceived social support scale were used to investigate 252 cases of pulmonary embolism patients who returned to the outpatient department of respiratory department of a grade a hospital in tianjin four weeks after discharge.Statistical methods included statistical description,t test,one-way anova, correlation analysis, and multiple stepwise regression.Results1.Table in the stage of Chinese import, the Chinese version of PEmb-Qo L was formed through the translation, translation and cross-cultural debugging of PEmb-Qo L,and the Chinese version of pulmonary embolism quality of life scale was determined to include 40 items. The content validity index of the scale was 0.910.Six common factors were extracted, the cumulative variance contribution rate was 82.177%,and the load values of each item on its common factors were all>0.4,the Cronbach’s coefficient was 0.894,the retest reliability was 0.810.2.In the application stage of the scale, the effective data collection of 238 patients was finally completed. The age of the patients was 20~85(60.9±13.24)years old,and the proportion of female patients was 52.5%.The education level was mainly from junior high school to senior high school(41.0%)and technical secondary school/junior college(29.8%).Among the subjects,221(92.9%)were married,4(1.7%)were unmarried, and 11(4.6%)were widowed. The symptom discomfort frequency score was 4.37±1.97.The score of social activities was 5.73±2.24.The score of daily activity ability was 13.05±10.94.The score for work-related questions was 5.81±2.10;The symptom discomfort score was 5.16±3.09;Personal emotional experience score was20.47±9.34.3.Single factor analysis results: in the overall quality of life, women’s quality of life is lower than that of men; There were differences in the quality of life among different occupations. The quality of life of patients in different age groups was different. There were differences in quality of life among patients with different monthly incomes. The quality of life of patients initially diagnosed with pulmonary embolism was higher than that of patients with recurrent pulmonary embolism, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05,P < 0.01).4.Multi-factor analysis results: to the quality of life as the dependent variable, with single factor analysis and correlation analysis of the difference was statistically significant variables into the multivariate regression equation, the results of the total quality of life in patients with pulmonary embolism predictors according to explain rate order from large to small is: subjective well-being,attack times, monthly income, such as three, can explain the total variation rate was 47.3%.Conclusions1.The reliability and validity test results of the Chinese version of the pulmonary embolism quality of life scale showed that the scale had good retest reliability and internal consistency reliability,as well as good stability; The theoretical framework of the Chinese version of the scale was basically consistent with the source scale, and the content validity and structure validity tests showed that the pulmonary embolism quality of life scale had a reasonable structure, which could reflect the quality of life of patients with pulmonary embolism and could be applied in clinical studies.2.In this study, the overall quality of life of patients with pulmonary embolism was at a moderate deviation level, which was reflected in the disease experience, work, social and psychological changes.3.The predictors influencing the total quality of life of patients with pulmonary embolism were,in descending order, subjective well-being,number of attacks and monthly income, which could explain 47.3% of the total variation. It is suggested that when treating and nursing patients with pulmonary embolism, medical staff should consider from the three aspects of biology, psychology and society. They should not only understand the basic information characteristics and treatment measures of patients when they are admitted to hospital, but also evaluate, guide and educate them from the psychological and social aspects,so as to increase the confidence of patients to overcome the disease and improve their quality of life. |
