ObjectiveTo explore the effect of narrative nursing on the negative emotions of hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.MethodsA type of quasi-experimental study was used to randomly select patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from the endocrinology department of a top three hospital in Hunan Province from April to September 2018.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,92 patients were selected as subjects. The subjects were randomly divided into intervention group and control group,46 patients in each group. The control group implemented routine nursing program. The interventiongroupimplementedthenarrativenursing intervention while implementing the routine nursing program. The length of each intervention was 50~60 minutes, and according to the intervention implementer. The assessment and intervention participants'own feedback determines whether a second appointment is required for the next intervention, with an intervention interval of 1 week until the intervention is discharged. On the day of discharge, the subjects were reassessed using SDS and SAS and assessed for blood glucose compliance. The data is statistically analyzed using SPSS 25.0.The measurement data is described by means of mean±standard deviation(x±s),conforming to the normal distribution using t test,non-conformity using non-parametric test, counting data using percentage(%),frequency(n)Description,c~2test,when P?0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Results(1)Before intervention:The depression and anxiety scores of the intervention group were 58.23±8.87,51.47±6.11,and the depression and anxiety scores of the control group were57.19±6.73,50.14±4.98,and the intervention group and the control group were depressed and anxious. There was no significant difference in the number of grades(P>0.05).(2)After intervention:The depression and anxiety scores of the intervention group were 48.84±5.74 and 42.05±5.42,and the depression and anxiety scores of the control group were53.91±5.46 and 46.12±3.72.The scores of the intervention group were lower than the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the number of depression in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of anxiety in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistical.Academic significance(P>0.05).(3)After intervention:The scores of depression and anxiety in the intervention group were 48.84±5.74 and 42.05±5.42,which were lower than those before intervention. There were significant differences in the intervention group before and after intervention(P<0.05).The number of anxiety levels was lower than that before intervention, and the difference in the group was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)After intervention:The scores of depression and anxiety in the control group were 53.91±5.46 and 46.12±3.72,which were lower than those before the intervention. There were significant differences in the control group before and after the intervention(P<0.05).The number of anxiety levels was lower than that before intervention, and the difference in the group was statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)In the comparison of blood glucose compliance rate, there was no significant difference in the compliance rate between the intervention group and the control group after intervention(P>0.05).After intervention, the intervention group 37(86.0)and the control group 36(83.7)met the standard number of blood glucose. There were more statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).ConclusionThe implementation of narrative nursing has a certain improvement effect on negative emotions such as depression and anxiety in hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and it is better in improving the degree of depression of patients, however, the effect of blood glucose control in a short period of time needs further discussion.
