Lycium barbarum L.has been used as a traditional"medicinal and food homologous"traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It is rich in many active substances and mineral elements. It has many functions, such as improving eyesight, nourishing liver and kidney, nourishing face and beauty, strengthening body, delaying aging, improving immunity and so on.In recent years, with the increasing demand for Lycium barbarum L.,some illegal traders still use sulfur fumigation to process Lycium barbarum L.in order to improve its appearance and price, which seriously affects its quality and use.Appearance, color, taste and meat quality are usually the basis for evaluating the quality of Lycium barbarum L.However, the relationship between this appearance criterion and the internal medicinal ingredients of Chinese wolfberry has aroused people's general concern. In this experiment,Lycium barbarum L.from Jinghe,Xinjiang, was fumigated with different doses of sulphur. The main research contents are as follows:1.The quality of sulfur fumigated Lycium barbarum L.is related to the quality of sulfur used.Microwave digestion-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry?ICP-MS?was used to determine the contents of various elements in sulfur, and the conditions of sulfur dissolution and the working parameters of ICP-MS were optimized. The results show that 0.2 g sulphur added to 6 mL 60%HNO3 is placed in microwave digestion tank, and the sample is completely digested within 20 minutes from room temperature to 220?.Lower RF power and higher atomizer flow rate can reduce the formation of oxide and double charge. When RF power is 1100 W and atomizer flow rate is 0.93 mL/min,the sensitivity, oxide and double charge can meet the requirements of instrument analysis requirements,so that the ICP-MS is in optimal working condition.2.The microwave digestion-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry?ICP-MS?was used to determine the various elements in sulfur. The effects of different target temperatures, acid concentration and volume, climbing time and retention time on sulfur dissolution were investigated. The effects of RF power and nebulizer flow on the oxide, double charge and elemental signal strength of the instrument. The results showed that 0.2 g sulfur was added to 6 mL of 60%HNO3 and placed in a microwave digestion tank, then the temperature was raised from room temperature to 220? for 20 min,and the sample was completely digested. When the RF power was 1100 W,the atomizer flow rate was at 0.93 L/min,sensitivity,oxide and double charge meet the requirements of instrumental analysis.3.The total sugar, polysaccharide, polyphenol, betaine, carotenoid, protein and antioxidant activity of Lycium barbarum L.were determined under the above conditions. The results showed that the above components in unsmoked wolfberry were 56.84 g/100g,6.353 g/100g,12.88 g/100g,59.88 mg/g,0.826mg/g,3.365 mg/g,and the DPPH and ABTS clearance rates were 85.33%and 89.16%,respectively.After sulfur fumigation treatment, the above components and clearance rate of Lycium barbarum L.ranged from45.4554.18 g/100g,6.5667.394 g/100g,9.6111.46 g/100g,49.7657.39 mg/g,0.6320.788 mg/g,2.0963.123 mg/g,66.14%80.89%,70.38%86.42%,respectively.The results showed that the content of polysaccharides, total sugars, polyphenols, betaine, carotenoids, protein and antioxidant activities in lycium barbarum L.In summary, although sulfur fumigation can achieve the purpose of increasing color, sterilization, insecticide and prolonging shelf life,it significantly reduces the content of total sugar, polyphenols, betaine, carotenoids, proteins and other medicinal components, and increases the residues of SO2 and heavy metals, which seriously affects the medicinal value of Lycium barbarum L.and endangers human health. This study comprehensively explored the changes of appearance, moisture content,pH value, active components,SO2 and heavy metal residues of Lycium barbarum L.fumigated by sulfur, which provided a theoretical basis for evaluating the quality of Lycium barbarum L.and safe medication, and had practical significance.
