Correlated Factors Of Atopic Diseases Following Necrotizing Enterocolitis

Objective:To follow-up neonates who suffer from necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC),investigate the incidence of allergic diseases in 3 years and the correlated factors between them.Methods:Collect the clinical data of 137 neonates with NEC from January 1,2014 to December 31,2014 in the children's hospital affiliated of chongqing medical university,which meet NEC diagnostic criteria and complete of clinical related data and finishied 3 years follow-up survey.To investigate the occurrence of allergic diseases,according to the allergic disease occurring is divided into two groups,analysising by SPSS22.0.Univariate screening was used to screen the possible factors related to the occurrence of allergic diseases,and then multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the relevant factors.Results:A total of 137 subjects were included in the study,among which 87 cases(63.5%)did not have allergic diseases within 3 years,and 50cases(36.5%)had allergic diseases.Factors affecting allergic diseases after NEC children in 3 years included:passive smoking(19.5%vs38%),living in city(29.9%vs50%),immediate relatives with allergies(18.4%vs44%),breastfeeding rate(26.4%vs12%),total white blood cells<5*10~9/L or>20*10~9/L(33.3%vs16%),fecal occult blood positived(74.7%vs48.0%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that passive smoking(OR=2.833,95%CI:1.066~7.532)and family history of allergy(OR=4.637,95%CI:1.652~13.013)were the independent risk factors of allergic disease in children with NEC in 3 years(P<0.05).Breastfeeding(OR=0.152,95%CI:0.042~0.547)for at least first 4 months,fecal occult blood(+)(OR=0.338,95%CI:0.141~0.811)were associated with a lower incidence of allergic disease.Conclusion:Allergic diseases after NEC are related to many factors.Passive smoking and the family history of allergy increased the incidence of NEC.It is important to avoid and prevent passive smoking and the family history of allergy,and promoting breastfeeding is an effective means to reduce the occurrence of allergic diseases.
