OBJECTIVE:To compare the efficacy of catheter ablation and drug therapy in patients with heart failure and atrial fibrillation.METHODS: Search PubMed,Embase,Cochran library, web of science,SinoMed,China Knowledge Network Database(CNKI),screen and incorporate randomized controlled trials comparing catheter ablation and drug therapy for patients with heart failure and atrial fibrillation, and analyze them using RevMan 5.3.In the analysis,a total of 709 patients were enrolled,355 patients underwent catheter ablation as the experimental group, and 354 received drug therapy as the control group. The primary events analyzed included mortality at the end of follow-up,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),6-minute walk test(6MWT),and the Minnesota Heart Failure Quality of Life Scale(MLHFQ).RESULTS: Meta-analysis showed a reduction in mortality from catheter ablation compared with drug therapy(RR = 0.51;95% CI: 0.35,0.75)and improved left ventricular ejection fraction(MD 4.75,95% CI2.49-7.00%),6-minute walk test increased(MD 31.44,95% CI3.16-59.72%),Minnesota Heart Failure Insufficiency Quality of Life Scale(MD-5.89,95% CI-10.37--1.42%).Conclusion: In this meta-analysis,catheter ablation was significantly better than medication for patients with heart failure and atrial fibrillation compared with survival, structure, and function.
