The Effect Of COOK Capsule And Misoprostol On Cervical Maturation In The Third Trimester Of Pregnancy

In the third trimester,there are many pregnancy complications,such as gestational diabetes mellitus,preeclampsia,oligohydramnios,overdue pregnancy,etc.When the health of mother and child is endangered by these complications,inducing labor would be the most appropriate choice to prevent further damage.The best method to promote cervical maturation should be similar to the natural cervical maturation process which could avoid causing excessive stimulation of the uterus,fetal heart rate abnormalities,placental abruption and other abnormal changes.The effects of the COOK capsule and misoprostol on cervical maturation in the third trimester of pregnancy were analyzed and summarized in this research.Objective:Two methods of promoting cervical maturation with COOK capsule and misoprostol were compared to explore the effect,the incidence of abnormal conditions in the process of cervical maturation and the influence of different methods on neonates were compared,so as to select a safer and more effective method to promote cervical maturation for clinical promotion.Methods:122 pregnant women hospitalized in our hospital from October 2017 to March 2018 due to the single head position and planned labor induction were selected and divided into two groups randomly according to the random number table method(37?gestational week?42,18?age?40),There were no significant differences in general conditions between the two groups(such as age,BMI,parity,cervical bishop,and gestational week).Misoprostol was used to promote cervical maturation in the control group,and COOK capsule was used to promote cervical maturation in the observation group,,so as to achieve the purpose of labor induction.The total labor process,the time from labor induction to labor initiation,complications of labor induction and neonatal conditions of the two groups were recorded and compared.Results:1.The cesarean section rate and frequency of uterine contractions in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of other complications during labor between the two groups(P>0.05);2.The time from labor induction to labor initiation in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group.There was no significant difference in the total labor process between the two groups(P>0.05);3.There was no significant difference in neonatal score between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:For pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy,the induction of mature cervix by COOK capsule can reduce the occurrence of complications of induction and improve the success rate of induction,shorten the induction time effectively;So COOK capsule can be widely used in clinic with the advantage of higher safety factor and labor induction.
