Objective:By analyzing the changes of serum GAL and AgRP levels in obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, this study focused on the relationship among GAL,AgRP levels and blood sugar, body mass index, and the relationship between GAL and AgRP levels and other factors,so as to provide a new theoretical basis for the treatment of obesity with type 2diabetes mellitus. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on 210 hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes. The subjects were divided into three groups according to body mass index(BMI):normal body mass index group of diabetes mellitus(D1 group,n=75,19.0kg/m~2?BMI<24.0kg/m~2),diabetic overweight group(D2 group,n=75,24.0kg/m~2?BMI<28.0kg/m~2),diabetic obesity group(D3group,n=60,BMI?28.0kg/m~2).At the same time,60 cases of control group(NC group,n=60,19.0 kg/m~2?BMI<24.0 kg/m~2)were included in this study.Compared the changes of GAL and AgRP levels among the groups.Pearson correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis were used to study the related factors of serum GAL and AgRP.The difference was statistically significant with P<0.05.Results:1.Compared with the control group, the level of serum GAL in diabetic patients increased;in the diabetic groups(D1,D2,D3),GAL increased with the increase of BMI,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the serum AgRP level of diabetic patients decreased, and the serum AgRP level decreased with the increase of BMI in the diabetic groups(D1,D2,D3)with a significant difference(P<0.05).2.Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum AgRP levels were negatively correlated with BMI,DM course,WHR and serum TC,TG,LDL-C,GAL levels, positively correlated with serum HDL-C,FPG,HbA1c levels and Ln(FINS),Ln(HOMA-IR)(P<0.05);serum GAL levels were positively correlated with BMI,DM course,WHR,serum TG,TC,FPG,HbA1c levels and Ln(FINS),Ln(HOMA-IR),and it was negatively correlated with serum HDL-C and AgRP levels(P<0.05).3.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that BMI,TG,HbA1c,Ln(FINS),Ln(HOMA-IR)and serum GAL levels were independent influencing factors of serum AgRP level(P<0.05).BMI,course of DM,WHR and serum FPG,HbA1c and AgRP levels were independent influencing factors of serum GAL level(P<0.05).Conclution:In type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with overweight/obesity,serum GAL level increased and serum AgRP level decreased. And were correlated with blood sugar and lipids, suggesting that GAL and AgRP may participate in the occurrence of type 2 diabetes mellitus with obesity.Further study on the relationship between GAL and AgRP and other influencing factors will help to further clarify the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus with obesity, and provide new theoretical basis and data support for the treatment of type 2diabetes mellitus with obesity.
