Objective:To detect the expression of IgG4 and C3 in normal lacrimal gland and patients with benign lymphoid epithelial lesions of lacrimal gland,to explore the role of IgG4 and C3 in the development and progression of benign lymphoid epithelial lesions of lacrimal gland,and to provide new pathogenesis for benign lymphoid epithelial lesions of lacrimal gland Perspective.Methods:A total of 25 eyes of 25 patients' lacrimal gland from July 2010 to May 2018 in Department of Ophthalmology,Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College and Institute of Orbital Disease,General Hospital of Chinese People's Armed Police Forces.Among them,fifteen cases(15 eyes)with lacrimal gland benign lymphoepithelial lesion were collected as experimental group,the lacrimal gland tumor tissues were harvested,and 10 cases(10 eyes)with orbital exenteration for other diseases were collected as the control group,the normal lacrimal gland tissues were harvested.Using hematoxylin-eosin staining observe pathomorphology changes of the two groups,lacrimal gland and analyzed histopathological features of the two groups,lacrimal gland.The expression of IgG4 and C3 in lacrimal gland was detected by SP immunohistochemical staining.The expression of IgG4 and C3 in lacrimal gland was detected by SP immunohistochemical staining.The positive expression area/HPF of the experimental group and the control group were calculated by Image-Pro Plus software.The difference was statistically significant at P < 0.05.Results:HE showed that the lacrimal gland of the control group consisted of normal acinar cells and ducts.The ductal epithelial cells were arranged neatly and the cell structure was clear with a small amount of lymphocytes.And a large number of lymphocytes and plasma cells infiltrated into the lacrimal gland tissue of the experimental group,and lymphoid follicles were formed.The structure of the epithelial myoepithelial islands were observed.And in the experimental group,the lacrimal gland was accompanied by different degrees of fibrosis,which was significantly changed compared with the normal lacrimal gland of the control group.The expression of IgG4 was significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).The expression of C3 was significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no correlation between IgG4 and C3 expression in the experimental group(r=-0.137,P=0.671>0.05).There were no significant differences in age and gender between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:IgG4 and C3 play an important role in the pathogenesis of lacrimal gland benign lymphoepithelial lesion.
