In China,public health expenditures have risen year by year.At the same time,national medical service needs and health needs have gradually become more diverse and diversified.However,the current unbalanced medical resources in China have caused great obstacles to meeting the basic health needs of residents.Especially in rural areas,the shortage of medical resources is more serious,which has brought great inconvenience to rural residents.Based on the data of CFPS,this paper studies the impact of government public health expenditure on rural medical resources and residents' health status from the micro-level,providing reference for promoting the equalization of basic public health services in rural areas.The full text is divided into the following parts:The first part introduces the research background and significance of this paper,and then briefly describes the research content and research framework,and finally puts forward the innovation and deficiencies of this paper.The second part is the research review and theoretical support.After a comprehensive review of the domestic and foreign literatures related to public health expenditure,medical resources and residents' health,the economic theory based on this paper is introduced.The third part is a conceptual definition and status analysis of public health expenditures,medical resources and health outcomes.Through the analysis,we can see that the rising trend of public health expenditure has slowed down;the allocation of medical resources between urban and rural areas is unbalanced;and the government and society need to pay more attention to the emerging health risks such as frequent occupational diseases,rising mortality of chronic diseases and the patients become younger in average age.The fourth part introduces the source of the research data in this paper,and builds relevant indicators according to the CFPS questionnaire,then the variables were explained and analyzed.The fifth part is the empirical results.This paper empirically analyses the impact of government public health expenditure on rural medical resources at provincial level,and then empirically studies the impact of rural medical resources on the individual health of rural residents from micro-level,and carries out analysis and robustness test on the empirical results.The sixth part is the conclusion and policy recommendations of this paper.Through research,the paper draws the following conclusions: firstly,government public health expenditure has a positive impact on rural medical resources;secondly,the increase of rural medical resources can significantly improve the health status of residents.Finally,based on the above conclusions and some current problems in the field of health care in China,this section proposes some policy recommendations.
