Objective:To observe the effects of electroacupuncture on sleep and cognitive function in patients with insomnia and cognitive impairment after stroke, and to explore the correlation between electroacupuncture and cognitive function.Methods:60 patients with insomnia after stroke and cognitive impairment who met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into two groups, namely electroacupuncture group and drug control group, with 30 patients in each group.Patients in both groups were treated on the basis of conventional treatment. In the electroacupuncture group, sishencong point was selected, and the needle was retained for 20 min after acupuncture.Continuous wave was used, with frequency of 2Hz,once a day.In the drug control group, surazepam tablets(1mg each time)were taken orally before going to bed every day,and the course of treatment in both groups was 21 days. The CPC sleep quality assessment system,Montreal cognitive assessment scale and neurologic impairment score scale were used before and after treatment to assess the sleep status and cognitive function of patients, and the correlation between sleep efficiency and MoCA scale score was analyzed after treatment.SPSS23.0 statistical software was used to process and analyze the data.Results:1.According to the analysis of CPC sleep assessment system,in terms of improving sleep efficiency, patients in the two groups had significantly improved sleep efficiency after treatment compared with before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The difference between the electroacupuncture group and the drug group was statistically significant(P < 0.05),suggesting that the electroacupuncture group was superior to the drug group in improving sleep efficiency.2.MoCA scores before and after treatment in both groups, the curative group was rose significantly, the difference statistically significant(P <0.01),the drug group no significant change in before and after treatment,no statistically significant difference(P> 0.05),prompted the curative group can improve cognitive function, drug group to improve cognitive function in patients with no obvious curative effect.3.In terms of the correlation between improving sleep efficiency and improving cognitive function, there was a positive correlation between sleep efficiency and MoCA score in the electroacupuncture group after treatment(P < 0.05),suggesting that electroacupuncture improved sleep efficiency and improved cognition.4.Through the evaluation and analysis of the neurological impairment scale, the degree of neurological impairment in the two groups was reduced after treatment than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the electroacupuncture group and the drug group was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the electroacupuncture group was superior to the drug group in improving the nerve function injury.Conclusions:1.Electroacupuncture of sishengcong has a significant effect on insomnia after stroke, which can effectively extend total sleep time, reduce sleep latency and improve sleep efficiency;2.Electroacupuncture of sishencong has a significant effect on improving poststroke cognitive dysfunction, and can significantly improve delayed recall, naming and language function of patients;3.With the improvement of sleep efficiency, the cognitive function of patients was improved, indicating that the improvement of sleep efficiency by electroacupuncture was positively correlated with the improvement of cognitive function.
