Clinical Observation Of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction In The Treatment Of Essential Hypertension (Liver Fire)

Objective:To observe the blood pressure control and the improvement of clinical TCM symptoms in patients with essential hypertension(liver fire)by Huanglian Jiedu Decoction plus amlodipine besylate tablets to explore its clinical application value.Methods:This trial randomly selected 40 patients from the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2018 to October 2018,who were diagnosed with essential hypertension(liver fire).Given Huanglian Jiedu Decoction plus orally,one dose a day,decoction 300 ml,morning and evening;Amlodipine besylate tablets 5mg,once daily,orally.The medication was for 4 weeks.To observe the changes of blood pressure before and after treatment,the changes of individual syndrome scores of TCM,the antihypertensive effect before and after treatment,the efficacy of TCM syndromes and the adverse reactions of drugs,and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction.The test data was statistically analyzed by applying SPSS 22.0 statistical software.Results:1.Blood pressure measured value:Compared with before treatment,Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with amlodipine besylate tablets can effectively control blood pressure,blood pressure drops steadily,systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure and pulse pressure decrease,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).2.TCM syndrome:After treatment,the total score of TCM syndrome was6.29 ± 2.37,and the total score was significantly lower than that before treatment.The difference was statistically significant.(P<0.01).After treatment,the individual symptom scores of TCM were gradually decreased compared with those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).In the total efficacy of TCM syndrome,after treatmentwith Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with amlodipine besylate tablets,1case(2.63%)was cured,17 cases(44.74%)were effective,18 cases(47.37%)were effective,and 2 cases(5.26%)were ineffective.The total effective rate was 94.74%.Conclusions:Huanglian Jiedu Decoction combined with amlodipine besylate tablets can effectively control the blood pressure of essential hypertension(liver fire)and improve the TCM syndrome performance of patients.
