Retrospective Study Of Banxia Xiexin Decoction Combined With Chemotherapy In The Treatment Of Advanced Gastric Cancer

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of patients with the cold-heat complicated syndrome of advanced gastric cancer,and to observe its role in improving patients' symptoms,improving quality of life and reducing side effects.In order to provide a clinical basis for the comprehensive treatment of advanced gastric cancer with integrated Chinese and Western medicine.Methonds: This study used retrospective investigation to search for 81 patients with gastric cancer who met the inclusion criteria from December 2016 to D ecember 2017 in the Oncology department of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and sorted out the basic data of pat ients.Forty-one patients with combined chemotherapy were in the integrated C hinese and Western medicine group,and 40 patients with chemotherapy alone were treated with chemotherapy alone.Both groups received symptomatic supp ortive treatment for oncology during the treatment period.The TCM symptom scores,functional status,body weight changes,tumor markers,post-chemothera py toxicity,and survival time of the two groups were compared after 3 cycles of treatment.Results: There was a statistically significant difference between the TCM synd rome group and the Western medicine group in the TCM syndrome score,KP S score and body weight change(P<0.05).(2)In the improvement of toxic and side effects,the combination of Chinese and Western medicine was significantl y better than chemotherapy alone in nausea,vomiting,and myelosuppression.(P<0.05).(3)There was no significant difference in the 1-year survival rate and tu mor markers between the TCM group and the Western medicine group(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with chemotherapy has obvio us advantages over the chemotherapy group in improving the main symptoms of TCM,improving the physical condition and reducing the side effects of che motherapy in patients with advanced cold and hot miscellaneous syndrome gas tric cancer,and has a tendency to prolong the survival of patients.(2)Banxia Xi exin Decoction combined with chemotherapy can improve the digestive tract re action of chemotherapy drugs,and the safety is better.Compared with the che motherapy alone group,the side effects such as myelosuppression and liver an d kidney damage are not significant.(3)The combination of Chinese and Wester n medicine is the trend of advanced gastric cancer.The combination of Chines e and Western medicine is better than Western medicine alone.
