Objectives:To observe the efficacy of atorvastatin in delaying the formation of atherosclerosis in patients with early type 2 diabetes, and to provide reference for the application of statins in patients with early type2 diabetes. Methods : Sixty-three patients were randomly divided into atorvastatin group(n = 29)and control group(n = 34).Patients in both groups were given diet treatment and lifestyle intervention. On this basis, appropriate hypoglycemic schemes were given to control blood glucose in accordance with the principles of the diagnosis and treatment of type 2diabetes.The treatment group was treated with atorvastatin 20 mg every night for 6 consecutive months, while the control group did not receive special treatment.General data of gender, body mass index, smoking and family history of cardiovascular disease in first-degree relatives were counted. At the same time, both groups of patients ware to check LDL-C,TC,triglyceride(TG)and HDL-C.Glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),hs-CRP with fasting blood before and after treatment, and the observationindexes of the two groups before and after treatment were compared between groups and within the group, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS22.0.Results:1.There was no difference in sex,BMI,smoking and family history2 of cardiovascular disease between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Compared with before treatment,TC,TG,LDL-C decreased,HDL-C increased in atorvastatin group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);TG and LDL-C increased in control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.Compared with the control group,TC,TG,LDL-C decreased and HDL-C increased in the atorvastatin group after treatment(P<0.01).3.There was no significant difference in glycosylated hemoglobin between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).4.Compared with before treatment, the hs-CRP of atorvastatin group decreased, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);the hs-CRP of the control group increased, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Hs-CRP was significantly lower in the atorvastatin group than in the control group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant[(1.70±1.00mg/L<4.69±1.68mg/L)P<0.01].Conclusions:Compared with conventional hypoglycemic therapy only, early application of atorvastatin can reduce the levels of hs-CRP,TC,TG and LDL-C in patients with early type 2 diabetes mellitus, which may has a certain effect on delaying the formation of atherosclerosis in patients with early type 2 diabetes mellitus, and most patients are well tolerated.
