Expression And Clinical Significance Of B7S1 In Gastric Cancer

Objective:We investigated the difference of expression of B7S1 in gastric cancer and adjacent cancer tissues,and to explore the relationship between B7S1 expression and the clinicopathological factors and the prognosis of gastric cancer patients.MethodsImmunohistochemistry and RT-qPCR was performed to investigate the expression of B7S1 in 78 cases of gastric cancer tissue and adjacent tissues.The correlation of B7S1 expressions with the clinicopathological factors and prognosis of the patients was analyzed.Results1.The results of RT-qPCR showed that cancer tissues expression of B7S1 was higher than that of adjacent tissues,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The results by Immunohistochemistry method showed that positive expression rate of gastric cancer tissues was significantly higher than that of adjacent tissue,74.35%and 11.54%,the difference was statistically significant(P=0.001).3.Chi-square analysis showed that the expression level of B7S1 protein was associated with tumor diameter(x2=9.205,P=0.006),TNM-stage(x2=12.177,P=0.002),T-stage(?2=6.509,P=0.011),lymph node metastasis(x2=10.789,P=0.001).There is no relationship with gender,age,M-stage and so on.4.B7S1 protein expression was correlated with the overall survival rate for gastric cancer patients.Patients with B7S1 positive expression had increased mortality risk as determined by univariate analysis(P=0.012)and multivariate analysis(P=0.040).ConclusionB7S1 mRNA and protein expression was high expression in tumor tissues than the adjacent tissue in gastric cancer.The expression level of B7S1 was correlated with the tumor diameter,TNM-stage,T-stage,lymph node metastasis.We speculate that B7S1 may be an important factor affecting the clinical prognosis of gastric cancer patients.
