Correlarion Between Homocysteine And Gastric Cancer

This study is to investigate the relationship between homocysteine(Hcy)and gastric cancer,to determine the relationship between the level of Hcy and tumor markers of gastric cancer and the occurrence of gastric cancer,to determine whether Hcy is a risk factor for gastric cancer,and the prognostic value of Hcy in gastric cancer.Randomly select patients from three departments of digestive internal medicine,general surgery,medical oncology in the first affiliated hospital of Hebei North University from June 2017 to December 2018.151 cases of hospitalized patients with gastric cancer were collected as study group,A total of 102 cases of benign gastric ulcer,gastric benign polyps,atrophic gastritis patients were collected as control group B,and other 100 cases were random selected from superficial gastritis and normal gastric mucosa patients in the same period as control group A.There is a total of 352 cases.Tumor markers CEA,CA199,CA724 and serum Hcy levels in fasting venous blood were collected and determined.The serum Hcy level is gradually increased among the control groups and the study group with statistical difference.And serum Hcy levels are gradually increased among the gastric ulcer group,the gastric polyp group and the atrophic gastritis group with statistical difference.Serum Hcy level in stage ?gastric cancer group is obviously higher than that of ?-? stage gastric cancer groups,and there is statistical difference among four groups in gastric cancer;serum Hcy levels in ? stage gastric cancer group and?-?stage gastric cancer group are statistically significant.In the 8 subgroups,there is no significant difference among the groups of normal gastric mucosa,chronic superficial gastritis,gastric ulcer and gastric polyp.Serum Hcy levels in the normal gastric mucosa,chronic superficial gastritis group,gastric ulcer group and gastric polyp group are statistically different from those of the subgroups of atrophic gastritis and gastric cancer at each stage.Atrophic gastritis and ?-? stage gastric cancer groups have no statistical difference in serum Hcy levels,meanwhile,? stage gastric cancer group and ?-? stage gastric cancer group are statistically significant.Hcy is evidently related to the severity of gastric lesions,occerance of gastric cancer and gastric cancer stages,separately with correlation coefficient of 0.636,0.616,0.220,P<0.01.Logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for other risk factors,P<0.001 and serum Hcy level is still significantly correlated with the occurrence of gastric cancer.The conclusion of this study suggests that serum Hcy level is positively correlated with the degree of gastric disease,which is a risk factor for gastric cancer and correlated with gastric cancer stage and serum Hcy level has the value of early screening diagnosis and prognosis of latent gastric cancer.
