A Scale Construction And Application On The Behavior Of Head Nurses’ Humanistic Care For Nurses

Objective:To analyze and establish the concept and structural elements of nurses’humane care behavior,to build the scale of the behavior of head nurses’humanistic care for nurses.Analyze the current situation of the head nurses’humanistic care for nurses of hospitals at different levels in Yichang City,and to provide reference for hospital head nurses’caring behavior and create a harmonious management atmosphere.Methods:1.Through literature research and concept analysis,collection of domestic and international nursing humanistic care assessment tools,obtaining head nurses’humanistic Care related advances.Initially established the concept and structural elements of head nurses’behavior of giving humanistic care to nurses.2.Collect data through expert interviews,related literature and scales,then through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,forming the initial scale of head nurses’behavior of giving humanistic care to nurses.3.242 questionnaires and 258 questionnaires were issued during the scale formation phase and the scale validation phase,respectively.Then use relevant data analysis and factor analysis method for item screening and reliability and validity test.4.A total of 9 hospitals at various levels in Yichang City were selected to use the scale to analyze the status of their head nurses’behavior of giving humanistic care to nurses.Results:1.Established the structural element of head nurses’behavior of giving humanistic care to nurses,includes 3 primary structural elements and 8 secondary structural elements.2.Formed scale of the behavior of head nurses’humanistic care for nurses,includes 3 dimensions and 26 items,using Likert-5 grade method,and it’s a scale of others evaluation.The Cronbach’s coefficient of the total scale is 0.908,and the Cronbach’s coefficient of each dimension is 0.952,0.910,and 0.864,respectively.After exploratory factor analysis,a total of 3 common factors were extracted,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 47.795%.After confirmatory factor analysis,the degree of fit between the first-level indicators and the scale is fine(χ~2/df=1.522,AGFI=0.862,RMSEA=0.045,NFI=0.901,CFI=0.963).3.Analyzed the current situation of the head nurses’humanistic care for nurses of hospitals at different levels in Yichang City.The total score was 88.50%,and the average score was 115.05.It shows that the head nurses at various levels of hospitals in Yichang City have provided nurses with a good overall behavior of humanistic care(the total score is>80%).In three dimensions,the quality of the managers is good(89.19%of the scores),slightly higher than the interpersonal communication(88.93%of the scores),and the second is the work support(the score rate is 87.97%).Conclusion:This research establishes the concept and structural elements of head nurses’behavior of humanistic care for nurses,and forms a scale.It has good reliability and validity,which can be used to measure the humane care behavior of nurses.
