Demands And Influncing Factors For Family Physician Service Among Community Elderly At Home

Objective:To investigate the demand and the influencing factors of family doctor service for the elderly in a community of Wuhan,according to the needs of the elderly,provide the corresponding family doctor service,the solving measures and suggestions are put forward to the influence factors,thus to provide scientific information for community health care.Methods:A convenient sampling method had been used during April to November 2017 at a community in Wuhan,318 sixty years or older people were surveyed by a self designed basic status questionnaire,a self designed the demands of the elderly for the family doctor service questionnaire and the activity of daily living scale(ADL).The Excel 2016 was used for data entry and SPSS 22.0 was used for data analysis.Results:1.0.9% of the elderly know very well about family doctor service,48.1% of the elderly are partly aware of family doctor service,50.9% of the elderly have no knowledge of family doctor service,59.1% of the elderly express have the demand of family doctor service,48.1% of the elderly are willing to sign a contract of family doctor service.2.The elderly understand family doctor service mainly through community propaganda and television broadcast and newspapers.3.The demand of the elderly to specific services of the family doctor service total demand strength ranked the first is examination,the second is establishment of health records,the third is a chronic disease management,the fourth is health education,the fifth is rehabilitation,the sixth is traditional Chinese medicine,the seventh is medicine guidance,the eighth is doctor visits,the ninth is family sickbed,the tenth is drug delivery,the eleventh is diet guidance,the twelfth is chronic disease nursing care,the thirteenth is psychological counseling.4.The elderly with different cultural degree,personal income,chronic diseases,whether need long-term medication or not and activities of daily living(ADL)for family doctor service demand with statistical significance difference(P<0.05),the elderly have 2 or more chronic diseases are the main influencing factor.Conclusion:1.The elderly in this community lack knowledge of family doctor service.2.Most of the elderly in this community need the family doctor service,and they have strong demand services for physical examination,establishment of health records,chronic disease management,health education and disability recovery,etc.3.The health status,educational level and economic status of the elderly are the main factors that affect the elderly 's choice of family doctor service.
