Lumbar disc degeneration is a common disease, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging is currently the most widely used test to evaluate disc degeneration. The desired profile can be chosen freely by adjusting the magnetic field.Images that are inaccessible or inaccessible to other imaging techniques can be obtained. For the intervertebral disc and spinal cord, sagittal, coronal and cross-sectional images can be performed, and nerve root, spinal cord and ganglion can be seen.MRI was able to describe the water content and morphological changes of intervertebral disc.In the t2-weighted MRI image, the medial fibers of the normal intervertebral disc nucleus and the annulus were highlighted, while the lateral fibers of the annulus were lower. The signals of the nucleus pulposus and the inner annulus of the nucleus pulposus are decreased when the black signal crack intervertebral disc in adult nucleus pulposus is degenerated.According to MRI results, lumbar disc degeneration results were classified. The most widely used lumbar disc grading system is Pfirrmann grading system. One of the important indicators is the degree of reduction of lumbar disc height, because different individuals have different disc heights, and the measurement of its height in morphology has a certain subjectivity. In this paper,a new method of measuring lumbar disc area was proposed to replace the algorithm of using height measurement alone, combined with other indicators of the grading system, and applied to the diagnosis of clinical lumbar disc degeneration in MRI classification.According to the clinical experimental results, this method can effectively improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
