ObjectiveIn this study,by collecting the medical records of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in 2016,we analyzed the luck and TCM syndromes of the disease. The relationship between AECOPD with TCM syndromes and onset period of patients was studied by using the theory of Five Yun and Six Qi characteristics, and a new method was found for the prevention and treatment of COPD by differentiation of symptoms and signs. So as to provide prevention and treatment of AECOPD with theoretical basis.MethodsIn this study,345 cases of AECOPD in the first affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese Medicine from 20th 2016 to January 19th 2017.were analyzed retrospectively.According to the distribution of luck in the year of BingShen, the relationship between TCM syndromes of COPD and the period of onset was concluded.ResultA total of 345 cases were included in the study, including 70(20.3%)cases of wind-cold attack,49(14.2%)of external cold and internal drink,80(23.2%)of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung,124(35.9%)of phlegm dampness obstructing lung orifices,22(6.4%)cases of phlegm blinding spirit.Phlegm dampness obstructing lung was significantly higher than other syndrome types, followed by wind-cold attack, phlegm heat blocking lung. There was no significant difference in the proportion of wind-cold attack lung, external cold and internal drink,phlegm-heat obstructing the lung, phlegm dampness blocking lung and phlegm blinding spirit in Five Yun group or between the Si Tian and Zai Quan groups(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in the distribution of syndrome types among the Six Qi group(P<0.05).The proportion of wind-cold attack of lung in Third-Qi group(13.6%)and Sixth-Qi group(14.3%)was significantly lower than that in other groups. The proportion of external cold and internal drink in First-Qi group(8.6%)was significantly lower than that in other groups. The proportion of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung in Fifth-Qi group was significantly lower than that in other groups. The proportion of phlegm dampness blocking lung in Fourth-qi group(17.9%)was evidently lower than it in other groups. However, the proportion of phlegm blinding spirit(20.5%)was significantly higher than that of other groups.ConclusionThe effect of "Sui Yun-powerful water" on climate, phenology and disease was the main effect of "too prosperous Rain Water" on the whole year.Phlegm dampness obstructing lung accounted for 35.9%of the TCM syndromes of AECOPD in the whole year, which was consistent with the overabundance of Water and Qi in the whole year. The incidence of acute aggravation in Five Yun and Six Qi was high in spring and winter, and lowest in summer and long-summer.Five Yun and Six Qi have certain influence on TCM syndrome type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
