ObjectiveTo investigate the general situation, the quality of life, the content and the factors affecting the demand for continuing care of chronic sinusitis(CRS)patients within 6 months after endoscopic surgery.Using the brainstorming method, the expert group meeting to develop the continuation nursing program of CRS patients with endoscopic surgery based on motivational interviewing(MI)and evaluate its application effect.Methods1.Across-sectional survey was conducted to investigate the quality of life and continuing care needs of 152 patients in our hospital who were diagnosed with CRS and underwent endoscopic surgery within 6 months. Then analyzed its influencing factors.2.Based on the results of literature analysis and investigation, brainstorming and expert group meetings were applied to develop a Ml based continuous care program for CRS patients with endoscopic surgery.3.Using experimental research methods to venfy the effect of continuous care program.Convenient extraction of 144 patients with CRS endoscopic surgery, randomly divided into trial group and control group. The trial group used a MI-based extended care program while the control group used a routine extended care program. The effects of continuous nursing plans were evaluated by comparing the operation of the nasal cavity drip method, drug compliance, treatment effect, mental health status and quality of life.Results1.The score of SNOT-22 in CRS patients with endoscopic surgery was 26.56±17.78.The average score of related items were 1.21±0.80,and among those items, the nasal symptoms score was the highest 1.37±0.79.The quality of life was poor.Patients' physique and previous nasal operations were influence factors for the quality of patients' life.(P<0.05).?2.The demand for continuous nursing care for CRS patients with endoscopic surgery was 74.34%.The average score of total items was 3.30±0.82 points. The highest average score,3.75±0.92,goes to needs for nursing skill guidance.Outpatient reexamination and telephone follow-up were expected as continuing care service, accounting for 66.89%.Doctors participating were expected in extended care, accounting for 86.7%.59.3%of patients expected postoperative follow up 1?3 times.62%of patients wished to follow up to more than 3 months after surgery. The influencing factors of the total seore of patients with eontinuous nursing care after CRS endoscopic surgery were the patient,s constitution(R2=0.045,F?3.618,P<0.05).The total continuation nursing needs of patients with abnormal constitution were higher than those of normal patients.3.An MI-based continuation care program was developed. At the end of the 4th week of intervention, the operation of the nasal drip method in the test group scored higher than that in the control group, and its difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At the 12th week of intervention, the SCL-90 score of test group(8.69±9.02)was lower than the control group(13.14±10.29),and the SNOT-22 score of test group(14.74±8.72)was lower than the control group(25.19± 12.92).The difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).The compliance of the patients in the text group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the treatment outcome between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions1.As the quality of life of CRS patients within 6 months after endoscopic surgery was poor,a higher continuing care needs was required.2.The MI-based continuation care program could improve the nasal operation ability, medication compliance, quality of life, and the mental health with patients after CRS endoscopic surgery.
