Effect Of Ban-xia Xie-xin Decoction Combined With Ba-mai Jiao-hui Point On Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of combination of acupuncture and herb on gastroesophageal reflux disease.Ban-xia Xie-xin Decoction was used as the basic prescription,and Nei-guan and Gong-sun was used as the fundamental acupoint.The efficacy was assessed according to the improvement of symptoms,the outcom was compared between two groups.Methods65 cases of patients enrolled in this study and randomly divided into two groups.33cases in observe group,and the patients received the therapy of Ban-xia Xie-xin Decoction.32 cases in control group,and the patients accepted the method of combined therapy,which contained Ban-xia Xie-xin Decoction and acupuncture with Nei-guan and Gong-sun acupoints.There were four treatment courses in the therapeutic process.Primary outcome contained RDQ,Gerd Q,and accompanying symptoms scores.Through comparative analyses of outcome data to judge the clinical effect.ResultsBefore the treatment,we collected the basic data of all the patients,which contain gender,age,course of the disease,and scale scores.By comparing the data between the two group,the baseline information of the patients was similar(P>0.05).1 RDQ scores:after 4 courses of treatment,the RDQ scores in both group were decreased.While the observe group was 11.28±2.38,and the control group was 17.78±4.28,which means the intervention measures could improve the reflux symptoms.And the scores in the observe group dramatically reduced(P<0.01),which revealed the decoction and acupuncture combined therapy could reduce the frequency of the reflux symptoms and ease the severity.2 Gerd Q scores:after 4 courses of treatment,the Gerd Q scores in both group were reduced.While the observe group was 5.53±1.02,and the control group was 7.00±0.95.the intervention measures could make a alleviation in both group,while the combined therapy could improve the negative and positive symptom significantly(P<0.01)·3 accompanying symptoms scores:after 4 courses of treatment,the accompanying symptoms scores were cut down in both group.While the observe group was 18.37±3.71,and the control group was 24.91±3.90.the accompanying symptoms in each system received remission after givirtg the intervention measures.But after analyzing the statistics,the combined therapy could ameliorated effectively(P<0.01).4 clinical efficacy:with statistics in the study,there were 8 cases got clinical cure,15 cases got case effectualness,6 cases got improvement,while 3 cases inefficacy in observe group,and the effective rate was 90.63%.there were 3 cases got clinical cure,10 cases got case effectualness,12 cases got improvement,while 7 cases inefficacy in control group,and the effective rate was 78.12%.the data of observe group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionBan-xia Xie-xin Decoction and Ba-mai Jiao-hui point combined used for the patients of gastroesophageal reflux disease.The decoction originate from the classical prescription,and the acupoints stem form the Ba-mai Jiao-hui point,the internal and external combined therapy is confirmed as effective treatment,and provide the theory of foundation program for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
