Objective:This study was to compare the syndromes of type 2 diabetes with obesity and type 2 diabetes with non-obesity to reveal the characteristics of syndrome distribution of type 2 diabetes mellitus with obesity, and to lay a foundation for the standardized treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with obesity. To analyze the difference of general data and laboratory indexes between type 2 diabetes complicated with obesity and type 2 diabetes non-obesity,as well as the characteristics of related indexes of type 2 diabetes complicated with obesity. To lay a foundation for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with obesity.Methods:187 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into obese group and non-obese group according to whether they were obese or not.According to the"Differentiation criteria for Differentiation of Diabetes in TCM" formulated by the Diabetes specialist Committee of the Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese Medicine on 1992,the syndrome classification is carried out. There are 11 types of deficiency syndrome,of which 4 types are deficiency of qi,blood deficiency, yin deficiency, yang deficiency, positive 7 types:dryness and heat, blood stasis,qi depression,qi depression to heat, phlegm dampness, dampness and heat, gastrointestinal heat.Sex,age and BMI,waist circumference,waist-to-hip ratio, diabetes course, blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, blood lipid, serum uric acid, cervical plaque or arteriosclerosis, insulin resistance index were compared between the two groups. The results were analyzed statistically.Rank sum test was used to compare the measurement data and chi-square test was used to compare the counting data. Results:Firstly, there was no significant difference in the course of diabetes, age, sex, height, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting insulin, serum total cholesterol, serum low density lipoprotein, blood uric acid, plaque or arteriosclerosis in cervical blood vessels in type 2 diabetes complicated with obesity group and type 2 diabetes non-obese group were studied(P>0.05).Secondly,there were significant differences in body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio, insulin resistance index, serum triglyceride and serum high density lipoprotein between the two groups(P<0.05).Thirdly,there was a significant difference in the distribution of syndromes between the two groups(P<0.05),in which the non-obese group was mainly characterized by yin deficiency and the obese group was mainly characterized by qi depression and heat deficiency. The forth, the syndromes of non-obesity group are mainly deficiency syndrome, among which deficiency syndrome accounts for 56.2%and positive 43.8%.The syndrome of obesity group is characterized by positivism,in which deficiency syndrome is 22%and positive syndrome is 78%Conclusion:Firstly,the main syndromes of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with obesity are stagnation and heat, with Qi stagnation and heat transfer as the main syndromes.Secondly, the main syndromes of type 2 diabetes complicated with obesity are mainly characterized by empirical evidence. The main syndromes of non-obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus are deficiency syndrome.Thirdly, the BMI,waist circumference, hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio, insulin resistance index and serum triglyceride level in type 2 diabetes complicated with obesity group were significantly higher than those in non-obesity group, and the serum high density lipoprotein level was significantly lower than that in non-obesity group.
