Objective: To understand the current status of stigma and its relevant factors in infertile women and explore the relationship between health seeking behavior,fertility problem and stigma,so as to formulate intervention for the purpose of reducing the stigma in infertile women.Methods: This study is a descriptive study,which conveniently selected 342 clinic infertile women from six medical units in Bengbu from December 2017 to September 2018,and one-to-one questionnaire survey was carried out.Health seeking behavior questionnaire,Infertility Stigma Scale and Fertility Problem Inventory were used to investigate Health seeking behavior,Fertility problem and stigma.The statistical analysis were performed using SPSS 21.0,the methods included chi-square test,t test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis,multiple linear regression analysis.Results: 1.Health seeking behavior: whether she was pregnancy or had children had significant influence on the first diagnosis of the disease,the medical unit characteristics visited for the first time and the reasons for giving up treatment(P<0.05);Degree of education,place of residence,whether the husband is an only child and whether she has children had significant influence on the choice of the first visited medical unit(P<0.05);Degree of education and whether the husband is an only child had significant influence on the choice of the hospital(P<0.05);Degree of education,occupation,place of residence and whether she had children have significant influence on the payment method of medicine(P<0.05).2.Fertility Problem: the total score was 146.61±26.82.Degree of education,monthly average revenue of a family,whether is an only child,whether she was pregnancy,approach for the first treatment,payment method of medicine and the evaluation of treatment prospect had a significant effect on the fertility problem of infertile women(P<0.05).There was a linear regression relationship between fertility problem and monthly average revenue of a family,evaluation of treatment prospects,approach for the first treatment and whether she was pregnancy(P<0.05).3.Infertility Stigma: the total score was 57.61±22.82,and place of residence,degree of education,monthly average revenue of a family,single child or not,infertility factors,the first visit to the regional medical unite,evaluation of treatment prospects and reasons for giving up treatment had a significant impact on the Infertility Stigma of infertile women(P<0.05).There was a linear regression relationship between the total score of Infertility Stigma and evaluation of treatment prospects,single child or not,infertility factors and the medical unite visited for the first time(P<0.05).Total scores of Infertility Stigma and its 4 factors(self-devaluation,social withdrawal,public stigma,family stigma)were positively correlated with Fertility Problem and its 5 factors(Social concern,Relationship concern,Sexual concern,Need for parenthood and Rejection of childfree childless life style).4 dimensions of Social concern,Relationship concern,Need for parenthood and Rejection of childfree childless life style are important factors to predict the level of stigma.Conclusion: 1.It is urgent to correctly guide and rationally promote the Health seeking behavior of infertile women.2.Infertility women have a higher level of Fertility Problem,which is affected by individual and disease status,related to their family support.3.Infertile women have a medium level of Infertility Stigma,which is affected by individual and disease status,related to their Health seeking behavior.Fertility Problem of infertile women is an important factor to predict the level of Infertility Stigma.
