Background and ObjectiveAutism is a kind of extensive neurodevelopmental disorder that generally occurs in infants and young children, and it manifests three core symptoms: social communication disorder, narrow interest and repeated stereotyped behavior. With the increasing prevalence of autism spectrum disorders, physical and mental health and quality of life of more and more autistic patients are seriously affected, which also brings increasing economic and spiritual burden to their families and the government. At present, although there are many types of treatment for children with autism, there has been no cure method so far.Conventional rehabilitation training includes applied behavior analysis, treatment and education of autistic and communication handicapped children, sensory integration training, auditory integration training, etc.Although these conventional rehabilitation therapies have been recognized, their efficacy are not significant.‘Floor time' therapy is based on the interests of autistic children, guiding children to complete the entire training through free and pleasant interactive games. The therapy has not been widely carried out in the clinic, and whether this therapy is worth popularizing and applying in clinic still needs further studies. To this end, this study chose "floor time" combined with comprehensive rehabilitation training as intervention therapy to observe the clinical efficacy of "floor time" combined comprehensive rehabilitation training in the treatment of children with autism.Subjects and Methods1.Subjects: Sixty autistic children who received rehabilitation treatment in the Department of Child Rehabilitation Medicine,Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from October 2016 to December 2017 were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method.2.Methods: The control group received conventional rehabilitation treatment, including applied behavior analysis, treatment and education of autistic and related communication handicapped children, sensory integration training, auditory integration training, and etc;the experimental group received ‘floor time' therapy based on conventional rehabilitation intervention. Both groups received 6-month training,5 days/week,2 times/day,30 minutes/time.3.Evaluation: Childhood Autism Rating Scale(CARS),Activities of Daily Living Autism Behavior Checklist(ABC),The Chinese Version of Psycho-educational Profile(C-PEP)and Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist(ATEC)were applied to evaluate, compare and analysis their efficacy before and after 2,4,and 6 months of treatment.ResultsAfter rehabilitation training for 2,4 and 6 months, the total scores at each stage of CARS scale,ABC scale,C-PEP scale and ATEC scale of ASD children in the experimental group were compared with those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).ConclusionsThe clinical efficacy of "floor time" combined with comprehensive rehabilitation training is better than that of conventional comprehensive rehabilitation training in the treatment of autistic children.
