Objective:This paper makes a comparative analysis on the dosage of Taohe Chengqi Tang in ancient and modern medical cases, sums up the differences between ancient and modern prescriptions, and explores the relevant factors that affect the dosage of modern prescriptions, which provides a reference for modern clinical practice. Methods:This article mainly uses the literature retrieval method, collects and collates the Taohe Chengqi Tang ancient and modern related medical records, uses Microsoft Excel to set up the data data table, separately the other side pharmacy number, the medicine taste total number, the whole prescription medicine quantity, the prescription each flavor dosage,The proportion of compatibility, sex, age and disease were compared and analyzed. Results:According to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion,31 cases of effective ancient medical records and 291 cases of contemporary medical cases were obtained.By statistical analysis, the results are as follows:(1)This prescription in medical record of ancient times:(1)The prescription medicines range from 1 to 6 doses, mostly is one or two.(2)The total of herbal medicines types ranges from five to thirteen, mostly five.(3)There are 74 supplementary medicines,of which Chinese Angelica, red peony, rehmannia, safflower, fruit of immature citron are more frequently used.(4)The total dosage of the total prescription was 8.56 to 252.13 g,and the average dose was 69.60 g.(5)The various ingredients in dosage: Peach kernel dosage ranges from 1.87 g to 31.25 g,the average dose is 12.25 g,the dose mostly used is 11.19g;the dosage of Rhubarb is in the range of 1.12~18.75 g,the average dose is 9.97 g,the dose mostly used is 9.38g;mirabilite dosage range is 1.12~12.5g,the average dose is 7.43 g,the dose mostly used is 9.38g;Guizhi dosage range is 1.12~9.38 g,the average dose is 3.90 g,the dose mostly used is 3.73g;licorice dosage range is 2.19~11.19 g,the average dose is4.49 g,the dose mostly used is 3.13 g.(6)The proportion of drug compatibility:the commonly used proportion of each drug in the prescription is 4:2:2:1:1.(7)The age range of patients was 16~60 years old, male to female ratio was 1:0.82,commonly used in the treatment of febrile disease, syndrome of blood stasis, blood heat into the room, acute appendicitis.(2)This prescription in medical record of contemporary times:(1)The prescription medicines range from 1 to 60 doses, mostly are 2 or 3 doses.(2)The total of herbs types ranges from 4 to 18,mostly 8.(3)There are 195 supplementary medicines,of which redpeony root,Cortex Moutan, angelica,Achyranthes,Fructus aurantii immaturus are more frequently used.(4)The total dosage of the total prescription was 27 to 397 g,and the average dose was 102.25 g.(5)The various ingredients in dosage: Peach kernel's dosage range is 4.5~60g,the average dose is 13.41 g,the most commonly used is 10g;the amount of Rhubarb is in the range of 3~62.4g,the average dose of 12.54 g,the most commonly used is 10g;mirabilite dosage range is 3~50g,the average dose of 10.38 g,the most commonly used is 6g;Guizhi dosage range is 2~31.2g,the average dose of 8.12 g,the most commonly used is 6g;licorice dosage range is 3~30g,the average dose of 6.95 g,the most commonly used is 6g.(6)The drug compatibility proportion: the proportion of each drug commonly used in the compatibility is 5:5:3:3:3.(7)The age range of patients was 16~84years old, male to female ratio was 1:1.328,commonly used in the treatment of mania,uroschesis,stranguria,hematuria.(3)Comparing the statistical results above with the original prescription dosage in Treatise on Febrile Disease,I found the total dose in the ancient medical records significantly reduced, while that in contemporary cases rose significantly, basically unchanged from the original;in addition to peach kernel, the average amount of other ingredients in the ancient or modern medical records is obviously different from the original;the proportion of each drug compatibility differences significantly.(4)Compared the statistical results above with the dosage in Chinese Pharmacopoeia,it is found that the dosages ranges of various ingredients of ancient and modern medical records are mainly larger than the regulation dosage in Pharmacopoeia.(5)Analysis of the affecting factors of contemporary medical dosage:(1)Gender.The average level of drug use for men is slightly higher than that of women.(2)Age.The range of drug use in the middle age group is the most extensive.(3)Disease type. For there are differences in average consumption level of various ingredients of different diseases in and around the total amount, the average amount of each ingredient in treatment of mania, the maximum total dosage of hematuria.(4)Doctors.Professor Wang Fu has the widest range of total dosage in the use of this prescription, and Professor Men chunde has the smallest dosage in the average level.Conclusion:(1)The usage of this prescription in the ancient and modern medical records hasremained largely in the course of treatment with added drugs, both short course.Added drugs are mainly about removing heat to cool blood, promoting blood circulation to restore menstrual flow, enriching blood, and regulating the flow of vital energy.(2)All above adapt to the pathogenesis of Taohe Chengqi Tang that blood and heat accumulation. The difference is that in the ancient medical records the medicines weren't various, the dosage was small, and lack of changes;while when contemporary doctors use this prescription, there is a trend that alternative herbal medicines have a wider range, more kinds of herbs in a prescription, more flexible changes on addition and subtraction of medicines, wider drug dosage range, enlarged scope of treatment.(3)At the same time, there are some problems such as the ignorance to the proportion of compatibility among drugs and the difference between the amount of other drugs except the peach kernel and the amount of the original prescription.(4)In the contemporary era, female patients are most common. They are for all stages of age, mainly young adults. This prescription has a wide range of treatment, especially mental illness and urinary system diseases.(5)The dosage of prescription is influenced by many factors such as sex, age, disease and physician.
