A Clinical Research On The Effect Of "Qiangshentongdu" Acupuncture Method On EMG In Patients With Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture on the changes of emg in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH),in order to provide a basis for the clinical standardized treatment of LDH,but also for the clinical treatment of pain diseases to provide reference.Methods:Fifty-nine sick person with lumbar disc herniation were falled into "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture group(i.e.,observation group),29 cases,and conventional acupuncture group(i.e.,NC group),30 cases.Observation group patients take "qiangshent ongdu " acupuncture,NC group patients take conventional acupuncture.The main acupoints of "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture group: guan yuan,shen yu,mingmen,wei zhong.Auxiliary acupoints: baihuanshu,kunlun and houxi of the patients with lower limb back pain;The patients with pain on the lateral side of lower limbs were added with the huantiao,yang ling quan and xuanzhong on the ill side.Lower ext remity hind side and lateral all ache person,two groups acupoint apply alternately.The main acupoints of the conventional acupuncture group are shenshu,yaoyangguan,large intestine watcher,annulus,guanyuanshu,weizhong,yinmen,houxi and kunlun.Each group carried out 1 daily treatment,continuous acupuncture 5th,interval 2nd,with acupuncture 10 th as a course of treatment,a total of two treatments.The changes of emg(motor conduction velocity of common peroneal nerve on the affected side,frequency of f-wave occurrence and motor conduction velocity of tibial ne rve)and VAS score of pain were surveyed after 2 period courses,and the efficacy was assessmented.Results:1.Electromyography(with lateral sural nerve conduction velocity,F wave appe aring rate and the movement of tibial nerve conduction velocity): after treatment is complete,after statistics analysis,a " qiangshentongdu " acupuncture group and routine acupuncture group electromyography all the data are compared with the previous increase(P< 0.05),suggesting that the LDH patients after treatment with two,could improve neurological function;There was no statistical significance in the pre-treatment data between the "qiangshentongdu" group as well as the conventional acu puncture group(P>0.05),indicating that the emg data of the two groups before trea tment could be compared.There were statistically statistical significance in emg data between the "qiangshentongdu" group as well as the conventional acupuncture group post treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture group was better than the conventional acupuncture group in improving neurological function.2.Pain VAS score: posttreatment,the pain VAS score of the "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture group as well as the conventional acupuncture group reduced signific antly opposed to that before the treatment,and the comparison between the two groups before and posttreatment has sense of statistics(P<0.05),indicating that patient s with lumbar disc herniation can significantly eliminate or alleviate pain after the two treatments;Statistical analysis showed that there was no statistically significant difference in VAS score between the "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture group and the conventional acupuncture group before treatment(P>0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the pain VAS score between the "qiangshentongdu" acupun cture group as well as the conventional group post treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the "qiangshentongdu" group was better than the conventional acupuncture group in the pain relief of lumbar disc herniation.3.Effective rate of treatment: after the end of treatment,the effective rates of the two groups were 96.55% and 90.00%,suggesting that both of the two treatments had good therapeutic effects on lumbar disc herniation.there was a statistical dif ference in the total RR between the two groups(P<0.05),suggesting that the treat ment effect of "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture can be superior to that of convention al acupuncture for lumbar disc herniation.Conclusion:Both "qiangshentongdu" and conventional acupuncture can significantly improvethe pain symptoms of LDH patients and repair the injured nerves.The curative ef fect of "qiangshentongdu" acupuncture is superior to conventional acupuncture.
