| Objective: To investigate the accuracy of the Fonseca anamnestic index(FAI)in the assessment of temporomandibular disorders(TMD).Methods: A total of 396 people aged 18-56 years to the Oral Examination of Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College were selected as subjects. The diagnostic method of temporomandibular joint clinical examination in the seventh edition of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was the gold standard. The temporomandibular joint clinical examination and the Fonseca anamnestic index questionnaire were used to evaluate the accuracy of the Fonseca memory index in the evaluation of the initial diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disorders.Results:(1)In the ?Seventh Edition Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery? textbook, the temporomandibular joint clinical examination and diagnosis method is the gold standard, and the people who underwent oral examination at the Physical Examination Center of the Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College were screened, and the temporomandibular joint disorder was obtained. The prevalence rate was 52.52%,of which the male prevalence rate was 50% among male subjects, and the female prevalence rate was 56.76% among female subjects.(2)According to the Fonseca anamnestic Index Questionnaire, the prevalence of temporomandibular joint disorders in the tested population was 58.59%,and the male prevalence rate was 56.45% among male subjects. The female prevalence rate was among female subjects.62.16%.(3)The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of Fonseca anamnestic index questionnaire in the diagnosis of TMJ disorders were(204/208)98.08%,(160/188)85.11%,(204/232)87.93%,respectively.(4)The temporomandibular joint disorder assessed by the Fonseca anamnestic IndexQuestionnaire was mildly 194(48.99%),temporomandibular joint disorder was moderately 32(8.08%),and temporomandibular joint disorder was severe(6.%).Conclusion:(1)Fonseca anamnestic index has no statistical difference between the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disorder and the clinical examination method of temporomandibular disorder. It can be used in clinical and epidemiological studies. As a method for preliminary diagnosis,it can be used as a means for the general population to self-examine the temporomandibular joint.(2)There was no significant difference in the incidence of temporomandibular joint disorder between males and females. |
