ObjectiveTo explore the intervention effect of health education based on Knowledge-attitude-practice(KAP)theory on chronic periodontitis after the treatment of implant repair about the clinical efficacy, oral health self-efficacy,dental anxiety level and dental fear level of patients. It provides scientific basis for health education of patients with chronic periodontitis and improving service quality of medical workers.Methods64 patients with chronic periodontitis who were required to be implanted and repaired in the periodontal department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from September 2017 to December 2018,were divided into two groups, odd number into the control group, even number into the Observation group,32 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and health education. The observation group was given routine nursing and health education based on the KAP mode. Before the treatment, the two groups were given a Self-efficacy Scale for Self-care(Self-efficacy Scale for Self-care,SESS),Dental Anxiety Scale(DAS)and Dental Fear Scale(DFS)scores. At the 1st,3rd,6th and 12th month after treatment, the conditions around the implant were measured in the two groups, including modified sulcus bleeding index(mSBI)and modified plaque(modified plaque).Index,mPLI),probing depth(PD).After the 12th month, the oral health care self-efficacy scale(SESS),dental anxiety scale(DAS)and dental fear scale(DFS)scores were again compared between the two groups.Data analysis was performed with PSSS 19.0 software using two samples of t-test,x~2 test,rank-sum test of Mann-Whitney U and variance analysis of repeated measures.Results1.There was no significant difference in the baseline data of age, gender, education level, living area and family monthly income between the two groups(P>0.05).2.At the 1st and 3rd months after intervention, there was no significant difference in the peri-implantation status between the two groups(P>0.05).At the 6th and 12th months after the intervention, the observation group improved the sulcus bleeding index(The difference between mSBI),modified plaque index(mPLI)and depth of probing(PD)was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Before the intervention, here was no significant difference in oral self-efficacy score,After the intervention, the oral self-efficacy score,of the two groups were significantly improved, and the improvement of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in dental anxiety scale score and dental fear scale score between the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention, dental anxiety scale score and dental fear scale score of the two groups were significantly reduced, and the improvement of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions1.Compared with the conventional education and nursing model, the nursing model based on KAP theory can significantly improve the condition around the implant in patients with periodontitis in the 6th and 12th months.2.Compared with the conventional education and nursing model, the nursing model based on the KAP theory can significantly improve the patient's oral health self-efficacy.3.Compared with the conventional education and nursing model, the nursing model based on the KAP theory can significantly improve the patient's dental anxiety level and dental fear level.
