Background: Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a kind of incurable chronic need long-term treatment and life management,self management has been in the treatment of many chronic diseases such as diabetes,arthritis and play a positive role in the process of recovery,but in IBD related research,the introduction of self management is not yet mature,there are larger development space.Objective: To study the current status of self-management ability of inflammatory bowel disease patients by using the inflammatory bowel disease self-management skills scale.O n this basis,self-management intervention was carried out to compare the differences between the two and explore the intervention met hods to improve the self-management level of inflammatory bowel disease.Methods: Select 80 patients with inflammatory bowel disease from May 2016 to May 2017 in Digest Department of the First Affiliated Hospital,Anhui Medical University,investigate the general data of all patients,and investigate self-management ability of patients with inflammatory bowel disease using the self-management skills scale.A total of 80 patients with inflammatory bowel disease were divided into intervention group and control groupaccording to the random number 40 caseseach.The control group using traditional health education mainly by nurses,intervention group patients establish medical cooperative health education team,using a new type of health education which diversified?individualwhile in hospital and continuous in the follow-up time.Compare the self-management skillsoftwo groups.Results: A total of 80 patients with inflammatory bowel disease were included in this study,including 29 patients with UC and 51 with CD.There were more males than females in UC(male: 16 cases;female: 13 cases).Among the C D patients,there were more male patients than female patients(male: 38 cases;female,case 13).Two IBD patients had a clear family history and one had an undiagnosed fa mily history.Complications occurred in 29 patients with CD,including 19 with perianal lesions,and the surgical intervention rate was higher than that of UC patients.The self-management ability of patients with inflammatory bowel disease is generally low in the aspects of medication?diet?emotion management?rectal administration and self-recognition,of which the score of the dietary management dimension is the lowest.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the scores o f self-management skills before intervention(P>0.05),after intervention,the scores of self-management skills of patients in the intervention group was generally higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the quality of life of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The effective self-management intervention will enhance the level of patient self-management skills,improving the quality of life,and will be favorable for disease recovery.
