Establishing The Guiding Questions Of Life Review Interview On Adult Cancer Patients

Objective The research was aiming to establish the guiding questions of life review interview to provide the basis for the life review interview of adult cancer patients so as to promote the mental health of adult cancer patients.Method The interview guiding questions was formed based on Erikson's psychosocial development theory and Bulter's life review theory.The preliminary access strategies were retrieval databases both at home and abroad to collect the guiding questions and life themes in other life review researches.Then consulted 16 experts by Delphi method.Two rounds of consultation were used to conduct experts' suggestions for the content of the guiding questions.A preliminary interview was conducted according to the convenience of sampling with nine adult cancer patients,so as to understand the patient's response and the understanding of the guiding questions in the interview guiding questions,and collect the views and suggestions of adult cancer patients.Results Sixty-eight guiding questions were established under 4 modules including “pupilage” “adulthood” “Cancer experience”“summary” through the literature analysis and Delphi method.The effective recovery rates of the two rounds of consultation were 100% and 93.75%,and the authority coefficient of the experts were 0.206 and 0.216(P<0.05),respectively.Only one item was CV >0.25 after two rounds of consultation.Through preliminary interviews with eight adult cancer patients,the patients could understand the interview guiding questions,and could review their life experiences under the guidance of the interview guiding questions.After theinterview,the interviewees are fully affirmed the contents of the interview guiding questions.Conclusions This study formed the adult cancer patients life review interview guiding questions through literature reviewing,Delphi expert consultation and preliminary interview.The interview guiding questions contains four modules,the nonage,adulthood,cancer experience,and summarizes,it can help adult cancer patients reform and evaluate life experiences and provide the basis of life review interview.
