Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Children Congenital Muscular Torticollis With Ointment Rubbing

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of ointment rubbing in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis.The thickness of bilateral sternocleidomastoid muscle was measured,the ratio and difference of sternocleidomastoid muscle thickness were calculated,and the changes of symptoms and signs and the criteria for judging the curative effect were synthesized.To evaluate the clinical effect of ointment rubbing in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis,to provide a new method for clinical treatment of congenital muscular torticollis,and to provide the basis for the clinical application of ointment rubbing in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis.Methods:60 cases of congenital muscular torticollis were randomly divided into the ointment rubbing group and the conventional Tuina group.The conventional Tuina group was treated with talc powder as medium and conventional Tuina manipulation.The ointment rubbing treatment group was treated with Sanse ointment,and the manipulation was the same as that of the conventional Tuina group.The two groups were treated 6 times a week,4 weeks as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment.The curative effect was evaluated at the end of the treatment The thickness of bilateral sternocleidomastoid muscle was recorded before and after treatment.The thickness ratio of SCM and the difference of SCM thickness were calculated,and the scores of symptoms and signs were evaluated.SPSS 19.0 is used for data processing.Result:(1)The thickness of SCM in the affected side of the two groups:there was a significant difference in the thickness of the affected side of SCM between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0 05).The improvement of the thickness of SCM in the affected side of the children by ointment rubbing was better than conventional Tuin group(P<0.05).(2)The ratio of SCM thickness between the two groups:the ratio of SCM thickness before and after treatment of congenital muscular torticollis was different between the two groups(P<0 05).The improvement of SCM thickness ratio in children with congenitalmuscular torticollis by ointment rubbing was better than that by conventional Tuina(P<0 05).(3)The difference of sternocleidomastoid muscle thickness between the two groups:the difference of sternocleidomastoid muscle between the two groups was statistically significant before and after treatment(P<0.05).Compared with conventional Tuina,the thickness difference of sternocleidomastoid muscle on both sides was more obvious reduced(P<0.05).(4)Symptom and sign score:there was significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05).The of sternocleidomastoid muscle in the ointment rubbing group was slightly better than that in the conventional Tuina group(P<0.05).(5)Clinical efficacy comparison:the total effective rate was 67.86%in the conventional Tuina group and 82.14%in the ointment rubbing group.Statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the ointment rubbing group and the conventional Tuina group(P>0.05),but the recovery rate was better than that of the conventional Tuina group(P<0.05).ConcIusion:Both ointment rubbing and conventional Tuina are effective in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis.The effective rate of ointment in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis in children was better than that of conventional Tuina.Ointment rubbing is more effective in improving the thickness of SCM on the affected side,reducing the thickness difference of SCM on both sides,and improving the tilt of the head of the children.
